HAVER automatic bag applicator

HAVER bag applicator technology is used for a wide variety of bag types

Other decisive productivity factorsinclude high speeds and bagplacing reliability which don’tadversely affect the subsequentfilling system. This allows the useof large diameter filling tubes forachieving:

• maximum filling speeds• excellent weight accuracies• exceptional bag cleanliness

• adaptability to the rotary speedof the ROTO-PACKER

Continuous operation is achievedby using a low maintenance servo-drive system that has beentried and proven by HAVERtime and again.

As an automated system, theRADIMAT automatic bagapplicator for rotary packingmachines offers maximum flexi-bility for new projects through its:

• modular design• standard adaptability to a wide

range of bag types • automatic adjustment for varying

bag sizes

By including a valve opening station, sewn bags can also be employed.

The RADIMAT can process sealable valve bags with extended valves reliably and secure.

5

Conventional 50 kg bag for production rates of up to 2800 bags/hr.

By using an intermediate storage during bundle changes with 25 kg bags, production rates of up to 4000 bags/hr. can be reached.

Whenever changes inbag types are frequent, the bundle system withdirect feeding from anempty bag rotary feederis the best choice.

Advantages:

• the desired anglebetween the RADIMATand magazine for emptybags is selectable

• magazine positioning in the empty bag storage above or underthe packing machine

• magazine lengths of 3 to 10 meters are possible

HAVER depalletizing systems for empty bags

The special advantagesof the reel magazines in simple or double configuration emerge inhigh speed systems.

At speeds greater than2000 bags/hr., a significant time-savingsfactor is achieved using a reel magazine asopposed to a bundlemagazine becaucse onlyone bag reel insertionstep is necessary.

The HAVER RADIMATconfiguration for usingempty bag reels can provide some economicadvantages:

• capable of handlingempty bag reels of upto 4000 empty bags

• double magazinesgreatly reduce change-over times of reels

• the system requiresonly minimal operatortime and attention

• safe handling of emptybag reels

• a flexible and customertailored project configuration is possible

Updating and modifyingdata can be done usingthe Teach-In-Modus orthrough the keyboard. A special programmingunit is not necessary fordoing this.

Sort data transmission tothe palletizer from theSPSis possible andallows the machine to beadjusted for different bagsizes automatically fromthe control center.

Whenever variousweights, products or bagsizes are automaticallyemployed by a packingor palletizing system, a central single-buttonselection allows this tobe done easily. A total of 31 sorts may be assigned and administrated.

Data, related to the product sort and used foradjustment purposes, are stored in either theSPSsystem or by theweigher electronics.

The following adjustments may be carried out:ROTO-PACKER: 1 = ROTO-PACKER rotary speed; 2 = weigher parameters; 3 = filling impeller rotary speed; 4 = saddle height

RADIMAT: 5 = applicator head; 6 = suction bar; 7 = bundle stop; 8 = bundle transport Conveyor unit: 9 = height of bag discharge belt; 10 = bag alignment unit Conveyor check weigher: 11 = weigher parameters
