Spaces available in our Marrzipan Drama Classes for Term 2! Marrzipan have gained a huge reputation in New Zealand for the development of shy children, especially those with anxiety, autism and selective mutism. Saying that, this is a class for the super crazy and dramatic types too, as we focus on positive leadership

and social skills. Our classes focus on inner and outer self-confidence, and are super fun and exciting for children. Parents are kept up to date with weekly emails about what’s been covered in class and why, as well as what you can work on at home. We have two awesome showcases at the end of every term too, so you can see your child’s development first hand. Spaces for our Trial Class are limited, so please get in touch via our website to secure your child’s space, or call our superstar Office Team to give you the lowdown on why your child simply MUST give it a go. HATAITAI SCHOOL PARENTS GROUP (HSPG)

Hataitai School Parents Group Fundraising newsletter, April 2021 Hi everyone

We’d like to introduce you to some of the parents from our school who’ve volunteered to join the HSPG and continue its successful fundraising efforts that have done so much to add nice touches to life at Hataitai School over the years. Most of us are new members, and we are currently learning some tricks of the trade from the superstars of recent years’ fundraising before they follow their children onto pastures new. There’s always room for more members – many hands make lighter work. So please get in touch with us via [email protected] if you’d like to get involved. The HSPG will update parents occasionally throughout the year to let you know about some of the events we’re planning, and to explain how the money we raise will get used. From time to time, we might also put out a call for specialist skills or contacts from among our diverse community to assist with a particular fundraising activity. We would currently love to hear from anyone who

• is a graphic designer or similar, and can help us make communication notices (posters, invitations, etc) look good

• has building/handy skills and would be willing to help out in future working bee events at the school

• has an alcohol license and would be available to help us run social events We’re already lining up an exciting set of events for 2021 that will help the school mark its centenary year, reinforce the sense of community we love here so much and welcome new families (as well as raising some money for our children’s school on the side of course…) As has become something of a tradition, we will be organising an evening event for parents during Term 2. More details to follow – we’ll be in touch again after the holidays. Bye for now! HSPG
