    ABOUT US

Harvest is promoted by a dedicated team of

educationalists, NRI's, IIT' ians and Industrialists, who have

come together with a common goal of providing stress free

education which extends beyond the classrooms. The team

vision is to nurture a generation of smarter children. We

believe in encouraging the children to think, question and

reason rather than restricting their creativity to mere syllabi.

Our Mission is to provide a joyful learning environment that empowers children to

reach their educational and personal potential while nurturing their self-confidence

and self-esteem. Harvest International recognizes that each child

is an individual, that all children are creative, that all

children need to succeed. We believe in the total

development of each child i.e spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical.

    Our Goals

To provide our students with a warm atmosphere in which a comprehensive scholastic programme

of fundamental education can be given.

To provide a variety of educational materials and technology to enhance our curriculum.

To provide an education that is cognizant of the changing demands of our society.

To assist the parent in discovering the potential of their child, to give the student the diagnosis

needed to set them towards that goal and to develop the skills needed to be a winner in life.

To provide a strong educational foundation that will serve a lifetime and give the students the

advantage in their quest for a better future in the global community.

    A word from the Chairman

I believe that a school should provide a warm, secure and welcoming atmosphere for children. When

coupled with modern infrastructure and learning methods, such a place provides holistic development of

each and every child. This is our endeavour at Harvest International School. We aim to inspire the children

to question, probe and discover the world around them and realize their rightful place in society. We will

give to each child who crosses our portals an education which truly goes beyond the classroom.

    Mr. Ramprasad GChairman

    OVERVIEW

Harvest International School is a K-12, coeducational

day school which offers Indian (CBSE) and International (IGCSE,

AS and A levels of Cambridge International Curriculum). The

preschool follows Montessori Method and gives value additions

for the complete development of your child.

The school has partnered with NIIT to bring in world class

    THE HARVEST ADVANTAGE

    LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The school has reserved four acres of land, 15 minutes away from the main

school for the purpose of Harvest Leadership Camp. The camp has a beautiful

natural ambience of a resort with large number of fruiting trees and natural vegetation.

A host of stimulating activities are conducted here to bring-out the leadership capabilities of

every child. Team-building games, treasure-hunts, adventure and action sports will

enhance confidence and creativity and develop positive attitude towards thecommunity they live in.

Overnight camps, exploration activities are planned to train them in life-skills

and independence. These help students discover vital aspects of life that are

beyond classroom curriculum and instil a sense of leadership .

Some of the games planned include golf, balancing beams, treasure hunt,

petanque, shelter building, tenting, pond dipping, archery, sculpture,

pottery etc. The camp also provides an opportunity to know about

agriculture and the environment, interaction with domestic animals and have

first- hand knowledge of the world around .

The leadership camp takes the Harvest Education truly Beyond the Classrooms.

    SENSITIVITY TOWARDS THE ENVIRONMENT

In the current urban scenario, children are unaware of the relationship between humans and nature. Electronic

gadgets, ultramodern homes, buildings, vehicles and technology, have taken them away from nature. Harvest

believes that schools are the powerful tools to make children aware of their responsibility in the preservation of

our ecology and environment. Agriculture, planting trees and taking care of them will be a part of the regular

learning process. The school will also conduct camps, programmes related to the issues of environmental

sensitivity, sustainability, ecology, pollution, global warming, climatic change, greenhouse effect,

    wild life preservation etc.,

The need of the day is to make children realize the importance of their

co-existence with nature and their role in its preservation. Children will also be

taught civic sense and their rights and responsibilities with respect to our

    environment.

    SPECIAL EDUCATION AND LEARNING LAB

Harvest takes special responsibility for developing students with specialneeds who may have mild to moderate learning disabilities. The school

recognizes the fact that each child is unique and learns differently. Our

special educators customize a student-centered curriculum that will

accommodate each child's intellectual, behavioural and socio-emotional

needs, ensuring the child's holistic growth.

Special sessions to facilitate teachers and parents to work collaboratively and

to become more sensitive to the children with special needs are conducted on a

regular basis. The school tries to bring in measures to include children with

special needs into mainstream education wherever possible

From the desk of the Principal

Welcome to the world of Harvest International. I take this opportunity to thank you for choosing

our school and entrusting your child to us.

Today's education is no more defined by boundaries. Knowledge today is shared globally

irrespective of time, distance, geography or language through a technology platform.

Children of today need an education that prepares them to meet the challenges of a competitive

world. While academic strength is essential to survive, they need great communication skills,

good character, and an attitude to be lifelong learners and contribute in a positive way to the

society at large. Ethics and etiquettes, morals and discipline, values and culture, all need to be

ingrained into them to make them good human beings who are capable of becoming global

    citizens.

At Harvest, we aim to provide high quality education in a supportive learning environment. We

believe that every child is different and has to be provided an opportunity to succeed in his/her

own way. Our children walk into the school, looking forward to days filled with the joy of learning

without being threatened. They enjoy every activity and every day of their school and also

understand and appreciate different cultures. We make them sensitive to global issues and bring

    out their leadership skills.

PRIMARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL: CBSE CURRICULUM

We provide a balanced educational programme within a safe and

stimulating environment, so that each child embarks on a physical,

intellectual and social journey of curiosity and reasoning. Harvest thus

offers a comprehensive and a balanced curriculum which is designed to

make learning enjoyable, activity-based and experimental, preparing

every student for higher challenges. During these important years, the

focus is both on the curriculum as well as the development of intricate skills

like critical thinking and solving real life issues while developing independence

    and wisdom.

Student-friendly educational aids are used to promote self-learning and facilitate each child to study according to his

    or her propensity and skill.

A variety of extra-curricular activities including visual and performing arts, music, yoga, physical education and inter-

school competitions are a part of the school's syllabus to complement formal learning.

The primary & middle school curriculum is designed to guide students in forming a truly universal outlook. It aims at

developing a sense of wisdom for their welfare as well as that of others.

Students learn to think rationally, develop problem solving skills and carry out each task assigned to them with

responsibility, commitment and efficiency as they transition into higher academic levels. They are constantlymonitored and inspired to lead, be role models and manage stress.

HIGH SCHOOL: CBSE / IGCSE / AS/ A LEVEL OPTIONS

HARVEST has a modern approach for addressing the needs of students of the high school level.

The school implements the best practices in teaching from various schools across the globe.

The curriculum option available now is CBSE. The school also intends to affiliate itself to

Cambridge University UK to offer IGCSE, AS and A level programmes next year. Students can

choose the curriculum of their choice depending upon their individual requirements and

    aspirations.

High School programmes in Sports, Art, Music, Dance, Value Education and

Leadership Camp activities focus on developing the required skills in

different areas which will mould them into capable, caring, confident andcommitted individuals who can make their own choices for the future and

    excel in the chosen field.

    TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION

Harvest has tied up with NIIT for IT infrastructure. The classrooms are equipped

with Smart boards and LCD projectors. The complete school management system

gives strength to the day to day activities of the school. Excellent AV facilities in

each classroom, WiFi enabled areas, well organized computer labs and digital

library, make learning more interesting, interactive and practical.

    PRESCHOOL / EARLY CHILDHOOD

Harvest International follows the Montessori Method

for children of the age group of 2 to 6 years. Classrooms

are called "prepared environments" where a childs

innate zeal for learning is encouraged through purposeful

activities. The methodology is based on the child's need to

    learn by "doing".

Children pursue their own "self-paced curriculum" and

learning takes place individually or in small groups.

The abundance of materials makes it possible for the

children to work independently. Most of the learning

activities are through a number of multi-sensory,

sequential and self correcting materials that are

individualized i.e each child engages in a learning task

that particularly appeals to him because he finds the activities

geared to his needs and level of readiness. Consequently, he

works at his own rate, repeating the task as often as he likes,

thus experiencing a series of successful achievements. In this

manner, he builds a positive attitude towards learning itself.

Montessori education, being a child's first entry

into a formal school set-up, can be a testing

time for the child as well as the parents. We

therefore have taken great care to create a

pleasant, friendly and positive ambience where

children feel protected and happy and long to come to

school every day. The primary goal of this program at

HARVEST is to help each child reach his/her full

potential in all areas of life. Activities promote the

development of social skills, emotional growth and

physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation

for future intellectual academic endeavors. The holistic

curriculum, under the direction of a specifically prepared

teacher, allows the child to experience the joy of learning,

the time to enjoy the process and ensures the development

of self esteem. It provides the experiences from which

    children create their knowledge.
