Harvest Drive Thru On October 31, the KUC Ohana hosted our first drive-thru event for the annual Harvest Celebration from 5-8 pm. The theme was Good News and was built around the multi-colored beads of a bracelet that tells the story of the Gospel. Our event began with the Creation station representing beauty and perfection. Green depicts growth in our walk with Jesus; and Gold represents eternity in God’s glory. As each guest came on to the church campus, they received a handmade bead bracelet and a “newspaper” explaining the Gospel story. Hula, a worship tent, a photo booth, a Ju-Mui Pops stand and a Goodie Bag tent were dispersed among the Gospel story stations. They added variety, fun and deliciousness to the experience. Harvest Drive Thru

On October 31, the KUC Ohana hosted our first drive-thru event for the annual Harvest

Celebration from 5-8 pm. The theme was Good News and was built around the multi-colored

beads of a bracelet that tells the story of the Gospel. Our event began with the Creation station

representing beauty and perfection. We moved on through the Dark display which stands for sin.

Red represents payment on the cross, and White stands for cleansing. Green depicts growth in

our walk with Jesus; and Gold represents eternity in God’s glory. As each guest came on to the

church campus, they received a handmade bead bracelet and a “newspaper” explaining the

Gospel story.

Hula, a worship tent, a photo booth, a Ju-Mui Pops stand and a Goodie Bag tent were dispersed

among the Gospel story stations. They added variety, fun and deliciousness to the experience.

I am deeply grateful for the following team leaders who did an amazing job with their various

areas of responsibility. The event would not have been a success without them!

Over 800 various bags were created – a very generous age-appropriate bag for each child and

one family bag per family. Contributions of goodie bag contents came from generous personal

and corporate sponsors.

Over 1000 people, about 500 children, drove the course and saw the Good News depicted. God

blessed the event with perfect weather and a beautiful full moon.

I praise and thank God for everyone who worked, contributed and prayed to make this an

impactful event for our community. Even in the midst of Covid-19 restrictions, we found a way

to work together and reach our goal! Let’s continue to pray that God will continue to bless our

efforts and that as a result, people will come to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord!

With gratefulness to the Lord of the Harvest,

Lois Pannabecker – Harvest Drive-Thru Coordinator
