PAY DATES

Payday is the 25th of each month.If the 25th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday holiday, payday will be the Friday before.

COLORADO PUBLIC EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION (PERA)Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA) provides retirement and other benefits to the employees of more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado.

PERA is a substitute for Social Security for most of these public employees. Benefits are pre-funded, which means while a member is working, he or she is required to contribute a fixed percentage of their salary to the retirement trust funds. This percentage is 8 percent for most members. Employers also contribute a percentage of pay to the trust fund.

PERA cont.…If you are a current PERA member, please fill out the top portion of the form, make a note ‘current member’. If you want to change your beneficiaries, you can do that online. Sign and date the form.

If you are a PERA RETIREE and currently collecting a retirement check, please note that on the form. Fill out the top portion, sign and date the form.

If you are new, fill out the top portion and sign and date the form. You are able to add your beneficiaries at any time directly with PERA.

When you receive your first paycheck you will see a deduction for PERA. Please log in to www.copera.org and set up your online account. You will receive a mailer with a PIN number from PERA.

The District pays 19.65% (20.6% in 2018) of your salary to cover the administrative plan costs (this does not go into your retirement account, nor is it deducted from your pay). It is paid into the School Division Trust Fund for PERA’s operating costs and stabilization of the fund.

Form W-2 Wage & Tax Statement View & print your online W-2 statement from our secure server anytime. Now, you have convenient, secure access to your W-2 wage and tax statement online. You are currently enrolled for online-only statements. With online-only statements, you’ll have the peace of mind that comes from knowing your statement won’t be lost or stolen in the mail. You will also have early access to your W-2 information. You may change your settings anytime between April 15th and the following January 1st. Mailed no later than January 31, 2018. You must complete and return this form to the payroll office no later than December 31, 2017. Your 2017 selection must be received in the payroll office before January 1, 2018. During the tax preparation season, January 1 to April 14, you will not be able to change your settings. Terms and Conditions 1. For W-2 recipients who do not consent to an electronic version, a paper copy will be provided. 2. Electronic W-2 statements will be available to you by January 31st at the latest and accessible via Harrison School District Two. Internet access is required. W-2 forms will remain available to you for up to five years. 3. Your consent will remain valid until withdrawn or terminated. 4. You may withdraw your consent at any time other than during the tax preparation season (Jan 1 – April 14) by notifying Harrison School District Two to that affect. Please e-mail or mail your consent withdrawal to the Payroll Office. In the event that you no longer have access to the e-Portal, Harrison School District Two will mail a W-2 statement to the address on file.
