Mrs. Minnehan has devoted her entire adult life to the field of education. She retired in 2010 after teaching 18 years in our city schools. She has taught both special and regular education and in the ELL program all while servicing students ranging from at-risk to gifted. Shortly after retirement Harrie Ellen served as a member of the Pencader Charter School Board where she spent the majority of her tenure as president. Additionally, she was active in our local for many years during which she served as our treasurer. Harrie Ellen sees the American public school system as fundamental to the continuance of the democracy of our country. She views the intrusion of corporate entities and foundations as a politically motivated attempt to convert our schools from educational institutions to an arm of the business world. Harrie Ellen Minnehan is proud of the Christina School District and will undoubtly use her passion and depth of knowledge for the betterment of our district, students, and members. ANNOUNCEMENT

On Wednesday evening the Executive Board of the Christina Education Association

voted to endorse the candidacy of Harrie Ellen Minnehan in the Christina School

Board Election on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

Mrs. Minnehan has devoted her entire adult life to the field of education. She
