What is the Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle & Professional Development Program?

Fort Scott Community College Harley-Davidson program is the first exclusive Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Technician and Professional Development Program that offers an associate of applied science degree and/or certificate in the country. FSCC is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the program is approved by the Kansas Board of Regents. This program was designed with both, the Harley enthusiast, and the profession career seeking individual in mind.

Students spend time in the classroom and a summer internship for both certificate and associate degree, learning all aspects of diagnostics, repair, sales, marketing, parts management, and customer service. Students will also have the opportunity to take Harley-Davidson professional classes.

Will I earn a degree and/or certificate?Yes! At the end of the two-

year program, students are eligible to graduate with an associate of applied science degree or certificate in motorcycle service technology from Fort Scott Community College.

Once students have completed an associate of applied science, they may transfer into a baccalaureate degree program. FSCC works with area universities to make the transition into a four-year program as smooth as possible.

How do I become a student?Potential students of the Harley-

Davidson Motorcycle Technician Training & Professional Development Program must have a high school diploma or equivalent, complete the FSCC Online Admission Application at fortscott.edu/applynow. Applicants must take the Accuplacer placement test, which assesses skills in reading and math and helps FSCC ensure proper course placement so that students will have the opportunity to succeed. Applicants who score a 21 or higher on the ACT in Math and English are not required to take placement tests.

For more information, or to schedule an appointment to take the assessment test, call FSCC Admissions at 800- 874-3722 or 620-231-3690. The Accuplacer test can also be taken at most community colleges. Scores should be sent to the FSCC Admissions Department.

in the Harley-Davidson service family, including entry-level technician, assembly/pre-delivery, shop foreman, service advisor, parts manager, sales associate, technical advisor, technical education instructor, warranty administrator, or even up to general manager!Where is the program located?

The Harley-Davidson program is located at 274 North Industrial Drive in Frontenac, KS. The main campus of Fort Scott Community College is located in southeast Kansas, just 90 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri, and two hours northeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
