GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE Brothers and Friends of St. Anne’s, The winter has finally arrived and what an entrance it made! Jonas, Our first blizzard of the season, broke snow total records across the region and totally paralyzed the Eastern US. Luckily for us our worthy Hall Chairman, Stan Gajewski PGK, John Kolb PGK, Tim Conroy and Frank Ventura were able to get our new heating unit installed just in time to be ready for the storm. Both Tim and Stan gave our new snow blower a good workout clearing the sidewalks and property around the council during and after the storm. They battled four foot snow drifts and did an incredible job under very difficult conditions. I can’t thank them enough! Tony Gallo SK ran another successful “Paint Knight” on January 17th. The artists painted on beer mugs which can be used for unlimited tap beer during our Super Bowl Party to be held on Sunday, February 7th. Kick off is at 6:30PM and the hall will be open at 5PM. Please bring a dish so we can all share our favorite party treats! We are running drink specials and will be selling “Pay One Price” wrist bands at the door. I ask that you please bring down a food donation for the Our Lady of Lourdes Food Pantry to the party. The needed items are listed here in The Voice . Sister Kathy, who runs this most worthwhile program, will really appreciate it. Please come down and help support our council. I promise you will have a GREAT TIME! Speaking of “Paint Knight”, our next event will be held on Friday, February 12th from 8-10 PM. We will be painting on wine bottles. As always, it will be a blast. Please see Tony Gallo SK if you’re interested in attending. It’s great to see Thaddeus Garofalo DGK walking around the council. It’s amazing to see how well he walks after his knee replacement surgery. Please join me in wishing him a continued speedy recovery. When you see Bill Chuber SK around the council you can help turn his frown upside down into a smile if you buy one of the few remaining calendars he is holding. These keep the lights on at St. Anne’s and keep our taxes paid. Please consider taking another so that we can close this out until next year. We are still looking for donations of old cell phones. There is a box set up to receive them in the bar. Please see Joe Gunn PGK if you have questions. In closing, I thank you for supporting all that we do for Charity at St. Anne’s. As always, I’ll see you around the council! Vivat Jesus! Leonard Autera, GRAND KNIGHT CALENDAR RAFFLE Chairmen Bill Chuber and Tony Gallo have advised us that there are some calendars still unsold as of this date. Since this is a very important program for the council, it is necessary that we reach out to the membership to ask members to try and sell ONE MORE CALENDAR. INSURANCE AGENT ARTICLE:PUT YOUR LOVED ONES FIRST….

During the month of January, we spend a lot of time thinking about ourselves. What will our New Year’s resolutions be? How will we change our lives? What will 2016 bring for us? But what about the ones you love? Is protecting them part of your plan for 2016? Sure, there’s a lot you can and should do to protect your loved ones. You make sure they’re safe. You make sure they’re taken care of. You do your best to make them happy. But what if you weren’t there for them? What if you couldn’t be? Many are afraid to think about life insurance because they’re afraid of their mortality. But life insurance isn’t about dying. It’s about helping your family to live if and when something should happen to you. Life insurance allows you to continue providing for your family after your gone by seeing to it that they have the money they need to be safe and secure as they have always been. It can provide mortgage protection, income replacement, retirement income, final expenses and so much more. And life insurance doesn’t need to be a gift that you’ll never see given. Your family can benefit from your policy while you’re still here to see them enjoy it. So this Valentine’s Day, when you’re out buying that box of chocolates or flowers for your wife to express your continued love for her, make a point to schedule time with me to get your wife a special life-giving gift that will help you to protect her and your whole family for decades.

Fred Forgione, Financial Secretary, at 87-52 251st Street, Bellerose, NY, 11426. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH. Honorary Life Members pay no dues.
