home for the doctor’s office after Lorie was born. Her Aunt Martha, who was a nurse, would dropthings off for Phyllis to work on. As their fami-ly grew, Phyllis decided to quit her job at the doc-tor’s office to focus on raising her family. After Lo-rie, Phyllis and Edward were blessed with five boys,Doug, Brian, Mark, Todd and Blake.
Phyllis loved watching her children play andgrow. When they were young they lived on 28thstreet near Breton. Behind their house there werecorn fields that the kids would play hid in seekin! Every once in a while the family would ven-ture out for dinner to Robbie’s which was a fastfood joint! In the late 1960’s the family movedto a house on Cambridge Street. When they wereable to, the family would rent a cottage on a lakefor a week. The kids loved swimming all day longand still have many great memories from theirtime spent at different cottages. As the childrengrew older, Phyllis got a job at Hudson’s De-partment Store. There, she often modeled and help
pair together outfits for cus-tomers.
As the years went by,Phyllis was blessed with 20grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren! After retiring,Phyllis and Edward enjoyedtraveling.
