This year has seen Step EadeZ; start absolute beginner classes in

Bath, Peasedown St John, Westbury, Hilperton and West Ashton.

Beacon Hall. start an improver and Intermediate

class at BCA. plan social dances at BCA, Beacon

run two very successful workshops with top International Line Dance Choreographers Maggie G and Robbie McGowan Hickie.

volunteer to demonstrate a short performance of modern line dancing with a team of our dancers from BCA and Beacon Hall classes at Party in the Park.

Good evening everyone, just about recovered from the full workshop and evening party with Maggie G, regular line dancing friends and new ones too. Maggie was on top form as usual with plenty of energy, charisma and fun, adapting the day to suit everyone's needs.

Special dance teaches were in store including: Galway Gathering (AB)

Just when you think Maggie is off 'We Wanna Dance' came on and she couldn't resist dancing to it, thank you Maggie.

Maggie's talent excelled in the afternoon as she became the auctioneer, she was amazing.

The auction and raffle proceeds raised £908.40 our charities receiving half each

We have both passed our Dance Instructor Level 3 Teacher Training with BWDA, we had confirmation just before we taught our class this evening. We have been on a high ever since and it looks like we will be going out to celebrate, more food…... The day was full on - starting at 9.30 with practical work, a half an hour break for lunch and more practical until our theory Exam at 4.30 - 5.15 , yikes.....

Practical work - we were asked to take the class in a pre- arranged routine using the microphone to cue the music, count in, call the dance in time for four patterns and stop the dance. We had to start, stop & recite Circle20 for four patterns - music I'm Outta Here by Shania Twain (124bpm) and the same for California Freeze. Mandy chose (AB) Run back to me choreographed by Gary Samms as my first dance, Sharon chose (Alvaro AB) All In My Head choreographed by Suzi Beau.

especially enjoyed the afternoon tea, it was so scrummy. Big thanks to our family & friends for all the help in preparing it, and Anthony for eating it lol.

The RAFFLE lol, well, we must say, it was as enjoyable as always with lots of happy people winning at least one or more prizes, well done. Your positive comments, fun, laughter and SMILES shone through and at times it was awe inspiring.

We have finally recovered from our second event . Wow - what a great success it was; thank you to regular line dancing friends and new ones who took to the dance floor at (BCA) Bath Community Academy joining Step EadeZ’ afternoon workshop with Robbie McGowan Hickie. Robbie's encouragement, character & personality put everyone at ease, AYE or AYE, AYE, adapting the workshop to suit everyone’s needs. What a lovely person! Robbie , Chris Symonds, Kirstie and Mandy Eades all put on a show stopping performance of ‘We Are Who We Are’, Mandy’s favourite. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and you were all GREAT! The whole experience was wonderful; we don't know when we have relaxed quite so fully as we did on Saturday. We

Step EadeZ Modern Line Dance School @ Party in the Park demonstrating a short performance of modern line dancing to Black Magic by Little Mix and Love Me by Justin Bieber at this year's festival. We run an absolute beginner class at Beacon Hall every Wednesday starting at 7.15 look forward to meeting you, having fun, dancing and exercising.

Notices

It is with great sadness we had to say goodbye to a dear line dancer from our Thursday night BCA class, Vicki Szczotko. She lost her battle against an aggressive form of cancer in the early hours on Tuesday 28th June 2016. This has come as a shock to all of us, as well as her family. Let’s remember Vicki for her love of dancing to Marvin Gaye ‘Let’s get it on’ and her fun loving character. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family xxx

Health & Safety If there are any moves that

cause pain or dizziness, PLEASE TELL US. Steps can be easily

adapted so that you can still learn and enjoy the dances. We will always give advice on how to do

moves safely.

Clothing - Lots of layers, tops, t-shirts or shirts.

When you exercise you get warm, when you sit down

you get cold. Be prepared!

Footwear - Wear something comfortable, which will stay firmly on your feet. You could damage your knee/hip joints if your feet

don’t move smoothly on the floor’s surface. Please NO Flip Flops, Stilettos or Strapless Sandals! They can be too dangerous!
