The Resurrection of Jesus ChristMatthew 28:1-61 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

The Resurrection of Jesus ChristWhen Jesus rose from the dead the Roman soldiers who were guarding the tomb were petrified and fled! Here were hardened soldiers who have fought in various campaigns who were terrified when the angel rolled away the stone from the grave!

When Jesus Christ conquered death, hell, and the grave, he became our redeemer and savior. The righteous women were not afraid and fearful at the appearance of Jesus Christ. Jesus calmed their fears while he let the heathen Romans flee in terror.

The Resurrection of Jesus ChristSo this Easter season remember our risen

savior who gave his life on the cross so that we may live. Jesus is the reason for the season! It is Jesus that conquered death, hell, and the grave so that we may live!

So while you are celebrating Easter tell your children and grandchildren that we are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord and Happy Easter
