Versionen, um den geBchlechtsspezifiachen anatomischen Unterschieden ge

recht au werden.

Die „Lady"-Modelle werden für den jeweiligen Einsatzbereich auf speziellen

Damenleisten gefertigt, welche etwas schmäler angelegl sind und sich auch in

den Proportionen von Herrenleisten unterscheiden. Außerdem sind hei den Da-

meruuodellen die Stiefelschälte niedriger geschnitlen und die Fersensprengung

ist etwas höher angelegt.

schen Wald oder in einem bisher unbekannten Eck am anderen Ende der Stadt.

Hauptsache, Sie bleiben möglichst lange draußen! Dort fühlen auch wir uns am

wohlsten und daher wissen wir, worauf es bei Outdoor-Aktivitäten aller Art an

kommt: Seit der Schuhmacher HANs WAGner 1921 im bayerischen Vierkirchen

(in der Nähe von München) seine Schuhmacherei gründete, fertigen wir dort

hmktionelle Oiitdoorschuhe, technische Bergstiefel und stabile Freizeitschuhe -

in alter Wagner'scher Tradition mit höchster handwerklicher Perfektion. Diesen

konservativen Wertebegriff pflegen wir, weil wir der Überzeugung sind, nur so

die besten Schuhe herstellen zu können. Doch Tradition bedeutet nicht das Be

wahren der Asche, sondern die Weitergabe des Feuers. Daher haben wir auch für

2010 an neuen Ideen gearbeitet und einige Innovationen in unser Programm auf

genommen.

Dieser Claim beschreibt unseren Anspruch und unsere Philosophie in diesem

Jahr besser denn je. Für die Saison 2010 führen wir erstmals eine eigene Produkt

kategorie TRAVEL ein. Hier bieten wir vielseitiges und vor allem bequemes

Schuhwerk an, das funktional und ästhetisch die hohen Ansprüche eines Reisen

den zwischen Stadt und Land, Kultur und Natur erfüllt. Unser bewährter „Freizeit-

Leisten", über den wir in gezwickter Machart schustern und eine hervorragende,

sehr universelle Passform erreichen, ist die Basis für die meisten unserer leichten

Schuhe. Für 2010 haben wir zusätzlich ein völlig neues Leistenkonzept entwickelt,

das wir erstmals bei der PURO-Linie innerhalb der TRAVEL-Kollektion vorstel

len. Durch eine neu entwickelte Zehenbox mit ausgeprägter Asymmetrie errei

chen wir eine Geradstellung der Großzehe und bieten auch Menschen mit brei

terem Vorfuß mehr Platz. Wir statten die PUROs mit einem Futter aus echtem

chromfreiem Leder und einem Korkfußbett mit chromfreier Lederoberfläche aus.

Since 1921, when the cobbler HANs WAGner founded his shop in the little village

of Vierkirchen (just to the north of Munich, Germany), we have rnade functionai

outdoor boots, technical mountaineering bools and robust leisure footwear - in

the tradition of Hans Wagner's understanding of what is best quality and crafts-

manship.

We cultivate his conservative values as we are convinced that tradition does not

mean to guard the ashes but to pass on the fire! Logically we worked on new ideas

for 2010 to optimise our ränge of quality boots.

For the first time we introduce the product category TRAVEL. Here we offer versa-

tile and comfortable footwear to fulfi.l the functionai and aesthetical demands of

travellers, looking for footwear suitable for town and country, culture and nature.

With our populär "leisure-last" and a lasted construction we achieve great fit for a

Wide variety of feet and it is the basis for a lot of modeis. Still, for 2010 we devel-

oped an entire new last concept: Its asymmetric toe box allows straightening the

big toe and provides more space for the toes to move. The PURO line within the

TRAVEL category features the new last. People with a wider forefoot and travellers

looking for more relaxed fit will appreciate the PURO raodels. We equip the PUROs

with a chromeless leather lining and a cork-footbed with laminated chromeless

leather.

Die Serie „ROCK" umfasst technische, klet

tertaugliche Bergschuhe, die ihr bevorzugtes

Einsatzgebiet imfelsigen Gebirge haben, sich

aber je nach Modell auch für kombiniertes

Gelände mit Gletscherquerungen oder sogar

schwierigere Eisanstiege eignen.

Mit dem ROCK ACCESS GTX stellen wir für

2010 einen neuen Zustiegschuh vor: Der flexi

ble und sehr leichte Schuh für echte Kletterer

bietet beste Trittkontrolle, fällt aber am Gurt

oder im Rucksack durch sein niedriges Ge

wicht kaum auf. Außerdem haben wir den

ZENIT GTX komplett überarbeitet: Dieser

sehr technische Bergschuh eignet sich sehr

gut zum Klettern im Fels, wird aber auch den

Anforderungen kombinierter Westalpentouren

gerecht.

The ROCK category includes high-perform-

ance footwear made for classic alpine rock

climbs. Some modeis are even suitable for

mixed climbs with ice and snow sections.

With the ROCK ACCESS GTX, in 2010 we in-

troduce a new low cut boot for light and fast

rock action: Telling name, the ROCKACCESS

GTX provides excellent fit and grip, yet is so

lightweight that, while climbing hard alpine

rock routes, it can be hung at the harness or

stowed in a backpack. Besides we revised the

classic ZENIT GTX: This technical mountain

boot does very well in rock routes but also

copes with challenging mixed routes in the

Western Alps.

Tibetisches Yakleder besitzt außergewöhn

Qualitäten sehr geschmeidig und dabei äu

ßerst strapazierfähig.

In Deutschland wird das Yakleder zusätzlich

veredelt und hydrophobiert (d. h. wasserab

weisend gemacht). Es besitzt eine natürliche

grobe Narbung und ist nicht so ebenmäßig

wie alpenländisches Rindleder, das HANWAG

normalerweise einsetzt. Die individuelle

Struktur macht jeden Schuh zu einem Einzel

stück, der seine Herkunft nicht verleugnen

kann - und auch gar nicht will.

Als Futter setzenwir bei derYak-Linie durch

weg hautfreundliches, chromfrei gegerbtes

Leder ein. Dieses hochwertigste Futter

leder ist völlig frei von Allergie-auslösenden

Stoffen auf Chrombasis.

Tibetan Yak-leather possesses unique char-

acteristics: thicker skins whilst robust are

surprisingly supple.

Once in Germany the Yak leather is made

water repellent. It has a naturally raw tex-

ture, which is not so uniform as that of the

Alpine cattle usually used by Hanwag. This

individual texture gives each boot a unique

character, which clearly and proudly points

to its place of origin.

The whole Yak collection utilises eudermic,

chrome free leather. This premium leather

lining is totally free from allergy inducing

chrome-based chemicals.

flext sie? Wie dick ist sie? Wie ist ihre Sprengung (die „Rundung zum Abrollen"),

wie die Dämpfung? Und wie gut passen Sohle und Schaft zusammen?

Bei HANWAG versuchen wir, all diese Komponenten perfekt aufeinander abzu

stimmen. Eine Fertigkeit, die viel Erfahrung erfordert und von der wir seit 1921

einiges sammeln konnten. Das Ergebnis der Bemühungen sind Schuhe, die extrem

gut passen und sich für ihr jeweiliges Einsatzgebiet eignen.

The last is not the only criteria to make a

boot fit perfectly. It also depends on the

construction and the accuracy during the

manufacturing process. All HANWAG

footwear - including low cut shoes - are

lasted constructions with cemented sole

units. This handcraft process requires

more time and very skilled craftsmen -

however, we believe it is definitely worth

it. It ensures that the footwear lasts much

longer, keeps its shape and allows mul

tiple resoling.

How flexible is it? How thick is it? How

is the rocker (the rounded shape allow-

ing the foot to roll)? How is the cushion-

ing? And how wel] does the sole unit fit

the upper?

At HANWAG, we try to optimize the ad-

aptation of the single components. This

is a job that requires a lot of skill and

experience (something we have had

plenty of time to develop since found-

ing HANWAG in 1921). All this results

in extremely well fitting and comforta-

ble footwear that perfectly suits the in-

PURO line within the TRAVEL category. With its asymmetric toe box, the last guar-

antees a straight position of the big toe.

Note - Weight: HANWÄG uses a lot of

leather and natural materials always

vary in their density. Hence, the weight

of the shoes which are largely made of

leather can vary in about 5 % from the

weight speeification.
