Editorial Oversight

Tips to measure, monitor and adjust:

1. Once you have completed this worksheet, add each content marketing method and date to a

shared company calendar or spreadsheet that lists every deliverable and the responsible

contributor(s).

2. Identify one person who is responsible for managing the editorial calendar and ensuring that

everyone stays on track. If your editorial calendar is complex, consider using project

management software.

3. Identify one or more editors who will review each content piece before it goes live.

4. Identify an individual or team responsible for split testing. For example, email marketing

campaigns can be divided up by segments of your list. Choose elements to change, such as

headings, content, images and placement, in a subset of the list.

5. Meet as a team weekly to review the content deliverables for the week, assess performance of

the previous week’s content, analyze split test results, and review company website analytics.
