WAYS TO ENHANCE READING……….. 1. Read a wide variety of paperbacks fiction, biography horror, easy reading, etc with complex and material. 2. Choose a comfortable and quiet place where you can sink into other worlds thorough the books you are reading. 3. Try to maintain a reading log to make brief entries into. 4. Change the book if you are losing interest in the one you have chosen first. 5. Start reading with the book that has questionnaires related to the text read. 6. Do not make the mistake of trying to force yourself to read faster by an effort or will. Bring instead the power of imagination and think that you are finishing before time. 7. Start reading faster in your leisure time. Put on the pressure just little i.e read just a bit faster than your really do. 8. Be comfortable with light and temperature. 9. Cut out looking back at previous lines. Quicken your pace according to the level of your difficulty. 10. Slacken your pace when it is necessary to do so.

BY adding prefixes to the words.

By adding suffixes to words.

By forming masculine and feminine words.

By the use of phrasal verbs.

14. Try to remember what you have read.

BY discussing it with other people.

By selecting many books on a topic and then choosing one after some time.

15. Use a desk or table of adequate size and height. Sit in a straight chair.

16. Be careful about page turning.

17. Develop eye control and expand vision.

18. Check your progress on a chart.

19. Try to bring reasoning while you are reading.

Read the title.

Know the author.

Read the table of Contents.

Number of pages.

Interesting chapters.

Are there pictures, graphs etc.

What impression do you have about the text?

21. Try to eliminate bad reading habits…..

Vocalization

Head movement

Pointing out with a finger, pencil etc.

Lip movement.

Scratching, rubbing, and twisting the different Parts of body Distractions.

22. Do skimming and Scanning and Skipping.

A good reader never reads everything; he reads 50% of the text.
