1 INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE GUIDE We, the company VALMAR, care that you operate your machine at its best and most cost effective. Therefore we have prepared this instruction manual, in order to assist you with your machine. The instruction manual must be stored near the machine, so you will be able to access it when needed. Only authorized persons (operators), who know how to operate the appliance, are allowed to handle and operate it. Operators must read and study the manual carefully and they must follow the instructions. The company VALMAR can not be held responsible for any kind of damage or injuries occurred due to non-consideration of the instruction manual. Further to these instructions, all applicable environmental legislation and regulations regarding safety at work must be taken into consideration. 2 GENERAL FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

2.1 GENERAL FEATURES

The appliance is designed exclusively for the pastry cream production and the processing of fresh ice cream. The manufacturing company VALMAR cannot be held liable in any way for personal injuries or damage caused to the appliance in cases when the appliance has been used for any other purposes than those specified. The appliance consists of:

It is forbidden to reassemble, alter or in any way modify the appliance or any part of the appliance without an express permission of the manufacturer. This appliance is designed in compliance with the following European directives:

This appliance is fully compliant with all legal standards for operational safety. The level of operating noise does not exceed 75 dB (in front of the machine). Cooling is carried out with the use of ecological gas (see the silver plate on the back side of the machine) and water condenser with the possibility of mounting air condenser. With the intention to provide our customers with a well-tested appliance, ready for normal operation, the initial start-up is always carried out at the factory by the manufacturer before the product is packed and shipped to our client.

Additional start-up and appliance's adjustments can be made on the client's premises by technicians authorized by VALMAR. Set the appliance in a suitable place, block the wheels movement to ensure stability, and connect it to the water and power supplies. Connected appliance with blocked wheels is ready for operation. The price of the appliance does not include installation costs and the cost of the demonstration of its operation. The warranty does not include replacements or repairs of malfunctions caused by incorrect connection of the appliance. The quality and the quantity of the cream depend on:

� temperature of the cooling water; � temperature of air; � final temperature of the mixture; � quantity and quality of the cream mixture.

Put the ingredients into the production basin, close the lid and press one of the

quick keys , , , , , or START key. The appliance will produce the needed mixture based on selected program. Appliance operations:

� simultaneous mixing and heating of the mixture untill the pre-selected temperature (max 115°C),

� simultaneous mixing and cooling of the mixture to 4°C and maintaining the produced mass at a temperature of 4~5°C;

� possible mixing modes in production basin:

� constant, � impulsive, � fast, � slow.

The warranty does not include replacements or repairs of malfunctions caused by incorrect use of the appliance.

Every appliance has its own identification label, which is fixed on the backside of the appliance. The ID label contains the essential technical specifications of the appliance:

3 TRANSPORTATION AND PLACEMENT OF THE APPLIANCE

3.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREVENTING INJURIES

Pay due attention to legally required safety measures. At work wear suitable clothing. Do not wear ties, jewellery chains or belts, which could get caught in the machine. Do not shift or dislocate the safety switches or protective parts. Make sure that the lifting device is in good condition and that its load capacity exceeds the weight of the appliance (refer to the technical specifications data sheet). Lift the appliance following the instructions for its use and maintenance. Pay attention to the handling and handgrip locations. The use of a suitable lifting device is recommended. While lifting or moving the appliance do not stand under the machine. Do not turn or move the appliance by holding or pulling the cables or the water hose. Do not stand on the applicance. If you have to do any work above the appliance, you should use a suitable ladder and not the appliance for support.

3.2 UNLOADING THE APPLIANCE FROM THE LORRY

Required devices are a hand lift for pallets and a forklift truck with load capacity of at least 1,200 kg. Lift the crate containing the appliance using the hydraulic palette lift and move it as close to the open side of the lorry as possible. Remove the hand lift from underneath and handle the crate with the forklift truck. Make sure that the weight is focused on the holding points. Remove the crate from the lorry with the forklift truck in reverse gear as soon as the crate is moved out of the lorry lower the crate to the minimal height of around 30 cm. Slowly and carefully place the box containing the appliance in its place. To move the appliance around on the premises use wheels, which are supplied with the appliance.

3.3 UNPACKING OF THE APPLIANCE

Upon the delivery of the appliance check if the crate was not damaged during transportation. The appliance is fixed to the pallet with two packing strips and then covered with the carton box which is fixed to the pallet with additional two packing strips. When the machine is unpacked, make sure that the packaging is disposed in a suitable manner and in compliance with standards on environmental safety.

3.4 PLACING THE APPLIANCE ON PREMISES

Place the machine on a level solid surface with an adequate strength of at least 600 kg per m² for the weight of the machine, and position the appliance at least 60 cm away from the wall or other objects. Leave enough space in front of the appliance to ensure comfortable access and work with the appliance. While placing the appliance in position, block the front wheels (by pressing the brake), which will ensure that the appliance will not be able to move.

4 REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS FOR NORMAL OPERATION OF THE APPLIANCE

Before connecting the appliance to electricity supply, the operator must make sure that environment requirements have been met: the temperature and humidity of the air must be appropriate and the water supply and electricity networks comply with all requirements for normal operation of the appliance. When the characteristics of either the water supply or electricity network fail to meet the requirements for normal operation, the machine must not be connected to power supply.

4.1 ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Prior to connecting the appliance, the temperature and the humidity of the environment, in which the appliance will be operated, must be assessed and checked. If room temperature drops under 0 ºC (273K), water must be released from the condenser.

4.2 WATER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS

Prior to connecting the appliance to the power source, the temperature, pressure and water flow from the water supply network must be checked. Permitted water temperature and water pressure from the water supply network: Water supply must be checked for all conditions that are required for alimentary use. Low water pressure causes the cooling system to function improperly. The cooling gas does not condense, thus causing the compressor to overload. In such cases, the safety pressure valve kicks in and switches off the compressor. The results of mixture treating and ice cream production when the water pressure is too low are not as good as when the water pressure is normal. The maximum presence of chlorides in water is 120 ppm. Exchangers are not suitable for the use of salt water.

4.3 ELECTRICITY SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS

Prior to connecting the appliance to the power source, the voltage and the maximum power current allowed in the network must be checked and the appliance must be protected externally with FUSES and the MAIN SWITCH. Permitted voltage of three-phase appliances (400/50/3): Permitted voltage of three-phase appliances (230/50/3, 230/60/3): Permitted voltage of one-phase appliances (230/50/1): The diameter of each phase conductor must be of an appropriate dimension (corresponding to the power of the fuses). It is also necessary to check the frequency. The MAIN SWITCH must be installed in the immediate vicinity of the appliance, where it must be easily visible, accessible to the operator and appropriately marked.

5 CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE

5.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREVENTION OF INJURIES

When the characteristics of either the water supply or electricity network fail to meet the requirements for normal operation, the machine must not be connected to the power supply. It is forbidden to connect the appliance to the power source when the floor around the appliance is wet. It is forbidden to connect the appliance to the power source if any of the side panels and the cover is missing.

5.2 CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE TO THE WATER SUPPLY

The water supply regulation valve is connected to the WATER SUPPLY PORT. The water outlet pipe is connected to the WATER OUTLET PORT and to the outlet pipe leading to the drain. All these terminals have a diameter of 3/4" and are located on the backside of the machine. To connect the appliance to the water supply (water supply port) and the outlet to the drain (water outlet port), use pipes capable of withstanding 1MPa and measuring at least ½” in diameter (make sure upon the delivery that the pipes are supplied with the appliance).

If the appliance is meant to be used in areas with two separate water supplies, two separate water connectors are built in it, one for each: a DRINKING WATER SUPPLY PORT and a COOLING WATER SUPPLY PORT (condenser). The valve belonging to the cooling water supply must not be connected to the DRINKING WATER SUPPLY PORT. The valve belonging to the drinking water supply may be connected to the COOLING WATER SUPPLY PORT and/or to the DRINKING WATER SUPPLY PORT. The valve should be opened after the appliance has been connected to the water supply system.

5.3 CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE TO THE POWER SUPPLY

Only appropriately trained technicians are allowed to connect the appliance to the electrical current. They must follow installation instructions and observe the occupational safety regulations applying in the country in which the appliance is being installed. They must read the instructions carefully and above all thoroughly familiarize themselves with the sections on REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS FOR NORMAL OPERATION OF THE APPLIANCE and the machine’s electrical circuit scheme. Before connecting the appliance, all attachments that might have become loose during transportation must be checked. Attachments that may have become loose or disconnected must be screwed back on and tightened. A test start-up of the appliance is carried out by an appropriately trained electrician who has also connected the machine so as to make sure that it is properly connected (see the section on MAINTENANCE). If the appliance is correctly connected to the mains the mixer in the production cylinder should be turning in clockwise direction.

Production basin mixer, installed in appliances with built-in inverter, will rotate in the correct direction regardless of the connecting position of either of the phases. After connecting the appliance to the electricity network, appropriately trained electrician must also control the power consumption. The current must not exceed the maximum allowed on the identification plate or sticker (see the section GENERAL FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS).

6 OPERATING THE APPLIANCE The user operates the appliance standing in front of appliance. This position allows user to handle the control board and the safety switch. The appliance must be always under users control during operation.

The control panel is used to display the status or the operation phase the machine is in, to perform settings and to show messages and errors while producing ice cream. The safety switch is used to safely and securely switch of the electronics. The electronics is switched off by pressing down the switch-off key in the normal position and then depressing it. The switch will normally remain down and must be pulled back up by hand to return to its normal position. The water pipe is used for cleaning of the appliance.

7.2 PUSH-BUTTON PANEL

7.2.1.1 START CYCLE button

7.2.1.1.1 START with the START CYCLE button on the PUSH-BUTTON PANEL

The START CYCLE button is always set to one of the menu programs (except when first using the machine).

1. Press the button to display the set NEW program or the LAST program used screen.

2. Press START CYCLE again to start the program (NEW or LAST).

3. Active program screen.

To change the program set to the START CYCLE button (tips: Press the button to change the program set to the START CYCLE button. The machine switches to the programs menu screen. Enter one of the menu icons and select the desired program. For further information see the chapter 9.2 Starting of the programs.)

All menu programs are started with the START CYCLE button . The end of the cycle is notified by a beep and a light signal (if any). A message is displayed to take out the mixture. Should the operator not take out the mixture after the notice, the machine will maintain the mixture temperature automatically until extraction or until the end of the maximum time limit.

7.2.1.2 Key CONTINUOUS MIXING

The CONTINUOUS MIXING button activates the low mixing until the maximum time limit. The low mixing can be used for:

� mixing mixtures in the cylinder, � rinsing the cylinder, � washing the cylinder at the end of production.

1. Press the button to start a low continuos mixing – preset program 00.

2. The machine starts with speed 4 mixing

until the limit. This program permits changing of the mixer speed and time.

By pressing STOP button you can stop mixing (in any phase). 7.2.1.3 Key FORCE MIXING

The FORCE MIXING button activate the fast mixing for 30 seconds.

1. Press the button to start a FORCE continuos mixing.

2. The machine enters high mixing for 30

seconds regardless of the active program step and without affecting it.

If you press button the enters high mixing for 30 seconds and then stops. It is used when the product needs to be mixed at high speed for a short time, e.g. when solid ingredients or liquid fats are added into the mixture, when the set temperature is achieved during heating to micronize the mixture, and to emulsify the mixture after being still for some time. The force mixing program cannot be changed by the user.

By presing STOP button you can stop fast mixing (in any phase). 7.2.1.4 Key COOLING & FREEZING

The COOLING & FREEZING button activates cooling with continuous mixing of the mixture in the production basin troughout the selected program.

1. Press the button to start pre-set program 01.

2. The machine starts with cooling and

continuous mixing. This program is used when the cooling cycle has been stopped by pressing the STOP button, or to cool the mixture and other liquids at +4°C. The machine cools the mixture at +4°C and automatically switches to maintenance mode. Press the COOLING button (snowflake icon) on the push-button panel or START CYCLE to start the program.

By pressing STOP button you can stop cooling (in any phase).

7.2.1.5 Key AUTOMATIC PASTEURIZATION

The AUTOMATIC PASTEURIZATION button activates heating cycle at 85°C with continuous mixing of the mixture in the production basin in trough the selected program.

1. Press the button to start pre-set program 02.

2. The machine starts with automatic pasteurization cycle at 85°C. First the machine heating at 40°C then the customer can introiduced solid ingredients and then the machine heating until the 85°C target temperature is achieved - the cycle is reversed and the cooling starts. The machine automatically switches to maintenance mode at 4°C.

By pressing STOP button you can stop the automatic pasteurization (in any phase). 7.2.1.6 Key STOP / RESET

The STOP button stops all active functions and operating program of the machine regardless of the phase of machine. The HOME inactive screen is displayed.

Before using the machine for the first time it is necessary to select the language. If the language is not selected machine after 30 seconds defaults to English language. 1. Wait for the machine to start.

7.6 UPLOAD OF NEW PROGRAM OR NEW SOFTWARE

The program is uploaded only when the machine is powered off before inserting the USB key with nev version! 1. Make sure the machine is OFF before starting.

You can do this by pressing safety switch (red button). Then Insert the USB key with new database and/or program.

2. Pull out the safety switch (red button) to switch

ON the machine.

3. New software is uploaded automatically. At first the machine start screen is displayed.

4. A pop up message appears. Confirm the updated by pressing OK button. Check if everything is updated (info menu screen). If confirm pop up message is not displayed during start, then software update cannot proceed. Check USB key on a computer.

8 PROGRAMS Each program consists of steps. (You can see the number of steps in additional screen - see chapter 7.1.7) If the program permits customization, during each step, you can change:

• Mixing speed (if the rocket and snail buttons are greyed out, the changing is not allowed – see chapter 7.1.5);

11 PROTECTION OF THE USER AND OF THE MACHINE

11.1 PROTECTION OF THE USER

Safety micro-switches, built into the machine under the rim of the cylinder coverlid protect the operator against injuries that might be caused by the mixer’s rotation. Opening the cylinder cover lid will cause the operation of the mixer engine to shut down.

11.2 ELECTRICAL OVERLOAD PROTECTION

Electrical installations are protected with appropriate FUSES. If the FUSES terminate the operation of the appliance upon its start-up, the error causing this action must be found and corrected.

11.3 THERMIC SAFETY DEVICES

The mixer engine and the compressor engine are protected with thermal sensors. If temperature reaches the maximum allowed value, the protection shuts down the engine operation. In this case, press the key STOP and allow 15 - 20 minutes for the engine to cool down. After this time, the appliance is again ready for normal programming and operating (see the section OPERATING THE APPLIANCE).

11.4 PROTECTION OF THE COOLING SYSTEM

The cooling system is protected with the pressostat at the maximum pressure. In the case of water shortage (water condenser machine) or dirty air condenser (air condenser machine) the protection shuts down the operation of the cooling compressor.

12 USE OF THE APPLIANCE

12.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREVENTION OF INJURIES

Only authorized persons, who know how the machine is operated, must be allowed to handle it. Operators must be familiar with all regulations concerning occupational safety and fire safety measures, and they must know where fire extinguishers are located. Persons still in training must be constantly supervised by a designated person in charge who knows how the machine works. Operators must be dressed suitably (no ties, jewellery chains or belts that could get caught in the machine) and be appropriately protected. All warning labels on the appliance must be replaced with new ones when they begin to fade or if they become damaged. Before operation, the operator must make sure that the appliance is not under maintenance, in service or in cleaning. At the end of the shift, the operator working on the next shift or the person who will continue to operate the appliance must be informed of the current state of the appliance. Before every use, the operator must make sure that the floor is free of any oil smudges or other slippery substances or objects which might cause a person to slip or trip over. Operators must make sure before every use of the appliance that the side panels and the top cover of the appliance are securely fitted to the main construction and that there are no parts or objects on the appliance or in the cylinder that could damage the appliance during its operation. In the event of dangerous situations (e.g. blocked mixer), which could harm the operator’s or another person’s well being, the appliance must be immediately shut down by switching off the MAIN SWITCH. Caution must be taken because the ejection opening can be hot because it may be exposed to hot mixture. Danger of burns, scalding! The side panels and the top cover, as well as safety devices and protective covers, must not be taken off during the operation of the appliance! It is forbidden to get onto the appliance or walk upon it, especially during its operation! During the operation, attention must be paid to any oil leaks, increased noise, squeaking sounds or increased vibrations. In such case, the appliance must be immediately shut down; a visible notice board must be placed on it with a note that it is inoperable and authorized service personnel must be notified as soon as possible. Attention! Be careful not to burn yourself! During the heating phase the mixture and the inside of the basin get very hot!

12.2 BASIC RULES FOR OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

The user operates the appliance standing in front of appliance. The appliance must be always under user’s control during operation. Only a single operator can use the appliance at the time. The simultaneously use of the appliance from multiple users is forbidden.

12.3 PRODUCTION CYLINDER COVER LID

The operator opens the cover by grasping the lid lever and lifting it back into the open position. If the appliance is in the mixing mode, the mixing will be interrupted by lifting the lid (magnetic switch - OFF) To close the lid cover, pull the lid lever back down in closed position. If the appliance was in mixing mode the appliance will continue the mixing mode after cover is closed. (Magnetic switch - ON).

Grab the handle of the lever and pull it downwards (away from its hinge) first and than towards you, in order to open the ejection opening partially.

In this case the mixture will be poured out through the ejection nozzle. If you want to open the ejection opening completely, grab the lever handle again and pull it towards you (away from its hinge) first and then upwards.

In order to close the ejection opening again, pull the lever handle upwards (away from its hinge), and then push the piston lever towards the ejection opening until it reaches the limiter.

12.5 BEFORE APPLIANCE USAGE

Before each use of the appliance:

� make sure that the floor around the machine is not slippery or wet; � make sure that the water supply valve is open; � make sure that FUSES are securely in place and switched on; � make sure that the MAIN SWITCH is turned on; � clean the mixture production cylinder; � disinfect the mixture production cylinder; � make sure that there are no objects of any kind in the mixture treating

cylinder The appliance must be clean and disinfected before it may be used for cream production. Cream mixture must be of appropriate quantity and quality to obtain optimum results. The quantity of ice cream mixture must be measured according to technical characteristics of the appliance. When filling the mixture-treating cylinder, follow the specifications for minimum and maximum quantities allowed in the production cylinder. See the table below:

All performance data is based on standard mixture production. When producing mixtures, which include ingredients or additives that increase in volume during heating and/or cooking, the maximum mixture quantity must be reduced in accordance with the recipe.

12.6 MIXTURE PRODUCTION

Mixture production process:

� make sure that the production control panel is in the STOP position; � make sure that the ejection opening of the production cylinder is well

closed; � open the production cylinder cover and pour in the mixture; � close the production cylinder � by pressing the START key, the automatic cycle is activated; the mixture

production process can be regulated by means of chosen program (P.1 ~ P.21);

� throughout the whole process, the display shows the status of the mixture production; the cream is finished when the set value is reached;

� with sound and visual signals, the machine indicates that the automatic mixture making cycle is concluded.

12.7 MIXTURE EJECTION

Mixture ejection process into containers:

� place an appropriate container on under the ejection opening; � open the ejection opening; � activate mixing by pressing the MIXING MODE key; � mixing must be stopped within 10 seconds at most after the cylinder

has been emptied; (the appliance may continue to run without cream

mixture 10 seconds at the most; extended operation of the appliance without mixture is not allowed!)

� press the STOP / RESET key

Operators must make sure that the side panels and the top cover of the appliance are securely fitted to the main construction and that there are no parts or objects on the appliance or in the cylinder that could damage the appliance before cleaning the appliance.

In the event of dangerous situations (e.g. blocked mixer), which could harm the operator’s or another person’s well being, the appliance must be shut down immediately by switching off the MAIN SWITCH.

The side panels and the top cover, as well as safety devices and protective covers, must not be taken off during the cleaning (during SLOW MIXING) of the appliance. When the cover (basin) is open and the machine is still running and the display does not show Er Door... the appliance must be immediately stopped and shut down and note must be hung on the appliance, saying that the machine is out of order. An authorized technician must be informed as soon as possible in order to get the appliance repaired.

During the cleaning (during SLOW MIXING) of the appliance, attention must be paid to any oil leaks, increased noise, squeaking sounds or increased vibrations. If you notice any aforementioned problems, the appliance must be immediately shut down; a visible notice board must be placed on it with information that it is inoperable and authorized service personnel must be notified as soon as possible.

Every day before using the appliance, the correct functioning of the safety switch of the lid (basin) must be checked. When the appliance is in mixing

(press the button) phase open the cover. On the touch screen message must show caption Er Door... and the mixing should stop.

13.2 CLEANING THE SURFACES OF THE APPLIANCE

Surface cleaning includes cleaning of the side pannels of the machine and other external parts of the machine that are not in contact with the ice cream mix. It is strictly forbiden to use abrasive pads or aggressive cleaning agents, which can damage the surfaces.

Cleaning process:

� turn off the SAFETY SWITCH and the MAIN SWITCH; � make sure that the mixture treating cylinder cover and the ejection

opening are well closed; � clean the surfaces and make sure that the detergent does not touch

those parts, which do come into contact with cream mixture.

13.3 USING THE SHOWER FOR CLEANING

In order to clean or rinse-off the appliance or its parts, one can help oneself with the shower, which is mounted on the top side panel of the machine. The shower must be connected to fresh (drinkable) water supply (see the chapter on connecting the appliance).

� point it towards those parts of the appliance, which need to be cleaned or rinsed-off and open the water valve (in counter clockwise direction);

� close the water valve (in clockwise direction) and place the shower back to its place

In the case of wear or pipe breakage of the shower, the pipe of the shower must be replaced. Only original pipes must be used! Only in this way we can assure a well and normal working water shower!

13.4 CLEANING OF PARTS THAT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE ICE CREAM MIXTURE

All parts, which come into contact with cream mixture, must be cleaned before and after every use. With regular cleaning practice you comply with standards of hygiene and ensure quality of cream mixture treatment. Cleaning process:

� make sure that the mixture treating control panel is in STOP state; � make sure that the ejection opening is well closed; � open the cylinder cover and pour approximately 30 cm of water into the

cylinder; � close the cylinder cover; � press the MIXING MODE key and monitor the mixer operation; � press the STOP / RESET key; � turn off the SAFETY SWITCH and the MAIN SWITCH; � place a suitable container under the ejection opening and empty the

water out of the cylinder (if necessary the procedure must be repeated); � disassemble the cylinder cover;

Firstly, unscrew the small cover (in counter-clockwise direction) and lift it from the cylinder cover.

Secondly, unscrew the upper part of the cover (in counter-clockwise direction) and take it off.

Finally, lift the cover lever and remove the lower part of the cylinder cover.

� pull the mixer out of the cylinder: Pull out the pin that connects the shaft and the mixer of the cylinder.

After removing the pin, slowly and consistently pull the mixer out of the cylinder; exercise great care to prevent accidental dropping and consequent damaging of the mixer.

� take the piston sealing of the piston (in the case, the shaft sealing is

cracked, worn or inelastic it has to be replaced by a new seal).

� if the lever is dirty, you will have to disassemble it: Grab the piston lever with both hands and rotate the lever (in counter clockwise direction). By doing so, the handle and the pin get separated from the lever. Pull the handle and the pin out of the lever.

Place the pin with the handle into the lever (in an angle of 90°) and rotate the handle (in counter clockwise direction). By doing so, the pin gets separated from the handle and at the same time the bushing, the spring and the screw cap get disassembled.

� insert the mixer into the cylinder:

Hold the mixer with both hands and place it very slowly into the cylinder. When the mixer shaft is in bed, find the final position of the mixer in the bed of the drive shaft by slowly spinning it in a clockwise direction – the pin can be inserted.

After the mixer is in its final position, insert the pin.

� placing the cylinder cover:

Firstly, the lower cover part must be correctly placed, and secondly, lower the lever of the cover.

Screw the upper cover part (in clockwise direction) to the lower part of the cover.

Finally, the little cover must be screwed on (in clockwise direction) to the upper part of the cover. The cylinder cover is now fully assembled and positioned.

14 MAINTENANCE OF THE APPLIANCE

14.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREVENTION OF INJURIES

Authorized servicing personnel only may perform removal of the top cover and side panels and any actions inside the machine. Removal of the top cover and side panels and any intervening actions inside the machine is strictly forbidden when the machine is connected to the power supply. It is strictly forbidden to connect the machine to the power supply if top cover and side panels are not properly attached and all required security measures are not in place. Cleaning or lubrication of parts, which are moving or rotating, is forbidden.

14.2 PROBLEMS, ERRORS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Malfunctions and errors are caused mostly by incorrect use, improper or inadequate maintenance or incorrect connection of the appliance. Therefore the operators must always carefully follow the instructions. The errors, the causes and troubleshooting:

14.4 TESTING START UP

Testing start up of the appliance:

� make sure that the control panel is in STOP state; � make sure that the outlet pipe is properly set and well closed � open the coover lid ; � fill the basin with 30 cm of water � lower – close cover lid;

� press CONTINUOUS MIXING key and check mixer operation;

� press STOP / RESET key; � open outlet pipe and empty the water from the basin.

14.5 REGULATION OF THE WATER FEED VALVE

The water feed valve is preset to factory default values. These may change due to possible shocks and vibrations during transportation. In this case, the water feed valve has to be reset properly by authorized service personnel. The water feed valve functions properly when water is discharged from appliance during the operation of the compressor unit; the water flow stops when the appliance stops. Water consumption increases if the temperature of cooling water exceeds 18°C.

14.7 ENVIRONMENT TEMPERATURES BELOW 0°C

Do not leave the appliance in an environment colder than 0ºC (32 ºF, 273K). If temperetures drop below freezing point, you must discharge water from the condenser. To empty the water out of the appliance, detach the cap of the safety valve at its bottom. When all water has been discharged, put the cap back in position.

Open the safety valve and empty the system.

When the system is empty close the valve.
