Weds WALT retell stories using story language and organising events in sequence. Identify the main events/charac ters in stories, and find specific information in simple texts. Read the story of Handa’s surprise PPT. Discuss where story is set, drawing on information in the illustrations. (NB. Be sure to challenge any suggestion that we can tell simply from colour/race of chn in the story. There are many English citizens of African descent who look like this!).
