DescriptionAs innovative as it is rugged, the BCS 3800ex

hand- held scanner from BARTEC delivers thesophisticated ergonomic and operational featuresindustrial applications demand.

The scan line is wider than in conventional laserscanners and accordingly more visible. Thismakes aiming at the barcode much easier – evenon hard-to-access objects.

With its high scanning and decoding frequencyof 270 Hz, it can easily read a large number ofbarcodes in quick succession.

The BCS 3800ex has a robust enclosure that canwithstand use in even the toughest conditions.

Even dropping it onto the ground several timesfrom a height of 2 m will not damage this scanner.

Design

The BCS 3800ex hand-held scanner withintegrated decoder is designed for the pluggableconnection to a power pack. The power pack isfor direct installation in hazardous area. The po-wer pack contains an explosion proof moduleincorporating the intrinsically safe power supply(barriere) and one signal barriere for the datalines.

The data connections are available in thehazardous area - Zone 1 and 21 for connectionsto non-hazardous host systems (PC, PLC ormicro-processor).
