HANA DATABASE UPGRADE (From Revision 69.1 to 69.3)

Using HLM

1) Open HLM for the system you want to do upgrade. Provide SIDadm username/password.

2) Once HANA LIFECYCLE MANAGER opened up go to link as below :

Update SAP Hana System > Apply Single Support Packages

3) Click on Apply Single Support Packages. Below screen will appear. Enter SID and instance number of the system to be upgraded. Then click on next.

4) It will ask again the username and password (SIDadm & SYSTEM). Provide it and click next.

5) In next screen select option Manually downloaded Content if you have already downloaded the required softwares.

6) Login at OS level of the server and check the location where the softwares are placed. In below case its placed at /NFS/Install/rev69_3 location.

7) After selecting Manually downloaded content and clicking over next provide the path where the softwares are placed.

8) Click Next.

9) You will get this screen.

10) Click Run.

11) Click next and Upgrade (Actual Downtime) Starts.

13) Once Execute Update phase completed we will find this screen as below:

The Upgrade of HANA System from patch level 69.1 to 69.3 completed.

14) You can confirm the same by checking overview tab of HANA system.

Note: Please make sure before starting the upgrade make the application down and after upgrade finished make application up and running.
