Answering industry’s call for reliable fire door products in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster, Building a Safer Future review and other building fire-related tragedies around the world, the new Halspan® XT range of fire door blanks offers unrivalled performance.
A significant step-up on our already high performing ProTech door blanks, the Halspan® XT range features the same 3-layer solid timber core, but this time faced with superior Class 3 grade plywood.
Specifically designed for exterior, fully exposed applications, Halspan® XT’s plywood meets the following standard:
Performance Class Service Class Description
EN 636-3
Class 3: Exterior conditions
For use in unprotected exterior applications where the moisture contact will frequently be above 20%
Service Class 3
Eurocode 5 Plywood to be used in climate conditions leading to a higher moisture content than in service class 2. Panels of this type are suitable for use in USE Classes 1, 2 & 3 of EN 335. It is capable of withstanding exposure to weather conditions and liquid water or water vapour in a damp but ventilated location, under consideration of its biological durability.
EN standards apply throughout Europe and EU territories. For use in other climate conditions/geographical regions, please contact Halspan.
Going the XTra mileHalspan being Halspan, we didn’t stop there
