    Once you receive an over-65 homesteadexemption, you receive a tax ceiling forthat home on your total school taxes. Thetax ceiling is the amount you pay in theyear that you qualify for the over-65homeowner exemption and cannotgenerally increase as long as you live in

    that home.

    The bond would make available funds toestablish new facilities at HISD. Thefacilities being considered are on theElementary campus and Junior HighSchool campus and are outlined below.

    The proposed project is aligned withHISDs Strategic Planning goals.
