Earthquake in Haiti

The issue

Earthquakes are caused when the pressure from when the tectonic plates

move into each other increases , the earth shakes and an earthquake is

active.

On 12/1/2010 an earthquake of magnitude 7.0 hit Haiti.

Economic Impacts

Damages that happened to the Haitian National Palace.

Social Impacts

• These include: *Death *Serious Injury *Homelessness *Illnesses

Environmental Impacts

Political Impacts

Politicians from around the world are trying to come up with a solution for Haiti.

Solutions

A solution is building stronger buildings but the problem is that the cost money and Haiti is a very poor country.
