INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE – DEBBIE YOUNG Snhs Dip

This therapy has been practised in India for over 1000 years. Traditionally the

techniques were restricted to the head and hair, but nowadays a system

incorporating the upper back, shoulders, neck, upper arms and face, has evolved

in the belief that these are important energy centres in the body and, by

treating these, the whole body can benefit.

The treatment provides relief from aches and pains, promotes a healthy scalp and

hair, and can bring instant relief from tension and stress symptoms, inducing a state of calm, peace and

tranquillity and also promoting high levels of alertness and concentration.

Debbie Young, based in Parcent, is a qualified practitioner of this therapy, and is offering U3A members a

Ann offers a range of nutritional services at special prices for U3A members, including ...

1. Body Composition Analysis and Food Quantities. A 45-minute test (using a bioimpedence analyzer) to find out what is really going on within the body, including discussion of pH balances and

optimum food intake. You will find out how much protein you need to eat, whether you need to lose

weight, do resistance training, de-tox, etc.. Normal cost €40 U3A €34

2. Food Intolerance Testing. Testing of up to 130 different foods and feedback lasts an hour. Then you receive a booklet containing both the results AND advice for dealing with any problems. Up

to 75% of the population now suffers some sort of food intolerance, which may have a serious impact

on the aging process, putting the body under undue stress. Normal cost €60 U3A €50

3. Eat For Your Age – Individual Nutritional Consultation. A very personal investigation lasting two hours, after which you will receive relevant handouts , recipes, etc., and, if required, a 3-month back-up correspondence.

A full range of treatments available, for sports injuries, arthritis, stress, pre-operative and post-operative

treatments, etc., plus aromatherapy. Javea and Calpe clinics in the morning, and treatments in Jalón in the

REFLEXOLOGY – MICHELLE LODGE

Michelle Lodge is based in Benitachell and is a reflexologist qualified in the Ingham Method. Reflexology is an

ancient art of healing that deals with working reflexes on the feet that correspond to all glands, organs and parts

of the body, aiding areas of congestion and improving nerve and blood supply. Michelle also does Reiki which is a

Japanese technique promoting relaxation and healing.

On a normal basis all treatments cost 35 euros for 1 hour, or 20 euros for 30 minutes

but for the U3A members Michelle is offering a 15% discount: 30 euros for 1 hour ; 17 euros for 30 mins.
