PREPARE FOR NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 19, 2020 First Reading — All who believed were devoted to the teachings of the apostles, the communal life, the breaking of the bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42-47).
Psalm — Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love is everlasting (Psalm 118).
Second Reading — God has given us an undiminished inheritance, safeguarded for us in heaven (1 Peter 1:3-9).

Prayer of the Faithful Rejoicing in the good news of the Resurrection, let us now offer to God our prayers for all those in need.
For the whole Church, as we share our Easter joy through our witness to God’s love in everything that we do, especially through consideration of the needs of our neighbors at this difficult time, we pray to the Lord.
For the gifts of new life, hope, peace, and health in every nation of the world, we pray to the Lord.
For those still anticipating their baptism and confirmation, especially those of our par-ish, that they be guided by the Spirit while they wait to begin living out their baptismal promises, we pray to the Lord.
For all children, signs of hope in our future and signs of God’s love in our world now, for their health and wellbeing, we pray to the Lord.
For the eternal glory of our beloved dead, especially, we pray to the Lord.
For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts; for all our intentions spoken and unspoken, let us pray to the Lord.
O God of abundant life, you have given us cause for great joy on this Easter day, even in the midst of our trials.
