Business Process Review
Old GRCAssets process:
• All job types created as estimates(CapEx, Donated, Found)
• (nearly) All new assets created via capitalisation process, with job costs added simultaneously
• All job cost totals taken from and balanced to financial system, with reports to check and correlate
Process – Estimates and Capitalisation:
New myData process:
• Waiting on implementation of Works Orders module
• However, assets can be created separately from valuation (applying job costs)
• Job cost totals reporting currently being worked on

Old GRCAssets process:
• All assets valued by applying standard unit rates, or lump sum
• All import / export tasks have to be customised
• Apply new standard rates / lump sums to all items
Process – Financial Valuations:
New myData process:
• All assets valued by individual calculation (std rates to come)
• Comprehensive import / export facilities; can be defined & saved
• End of Year rollover encompasses revals and indexations

• Produce a report showing changes from any previous snapshot
• Submitted to and adopted by council annually
Process – Road Register:
New myData process:
• Create a separate snapshot of road data, extracted from myData
• … continue as per old process

Business Process Review
Old Assets-GIS situation:
• All assets constructed with RCP / RCBC components allocated to stormwater drainage layer in GIS
• Some of these assets function as bridges, predominately rural
• Result: some confusion, staff looking in the ‘wrong’ place
• Major Structure: >= 3m2 flow area
Gympie process example 4:Assets – GIS: Bridges / Major Structures
New Assets-GIS situation:
• Determine Assets-GIS layer by purpose; choice between bridge and stormwater layers
• If asset functions as a bridge (even if RCP / RCBC), place in bridge layer
• Urban node numbers can still be accommodated
• Major Structure: allocate using an attribute
