1. Preventive Maintenance Place proper walk-off mats in doorways to keep out dirt and grit. Install floor protectors on tables and chairs used on hardwood floors. Avoid excess moisture from tracked in water, leaks, or over-maintenance such as wet mopping. 2. Daily Maintenance Sweep or dust mop (with untreated mop only) daily to remove dust, grit, or other abrasive particles. NOTE: Use Pacific Sport Clean Concentrate diluted 1 part cleaner to 8 parts water for dampening the dust mop heads only. DO NOT USE ANY DUST MOP TREATMENTS. Replace soiled mop covers as necessary. Continued use of soiled covers will cause streaking. Damp wipe all spill or spots with Pacific Sport Clean Concentrate diluted at the 1 to 8 ratio. 3. Periodic Maintenance Dilute 1 part Sport Clean Concentrate to 8 parts water for a tacking solution. Tack with a well wrung-out cotton towel wrapped around a push broom. Be sure to clean towels regularly and change the solution as needed. • Using a Buffer — Shoe marks and scuffs can be removed by using a white pad and buffer (150-175 rpm) with a (1:8) solution of Sport Clean. Lightly mist the floor with the solution as you buff. Periodically clean or replace the white pad. Continued use of soiled pads will cause streaking. • Using an Autoscrubber — If you choose to use an autoscrubber with white pads, dilute Pacific Sport Clean to the same 1:8 ratio and ensure machine is properly adjusted to remove all cleaner immediately. No moisture should remain on the floor. Wipe up any remaining moisture with a clean towel. EXCESS MOISTURE CAN DAMAGE THE WOOD. Make sure all residue from the white pad buffing/cleaning procedure is removed from floor surface; immediately tack the surface with water-dampened, well wrung-out cotton towels.
