A Message from the Pastor:
My Friends in the Lord Jesus Today’s scripture readings focus our attention on an important and fundamental teaching of our faith: forgiveness and reconciliation. Jesus has an expectation of us. It is the expectation to forgive another. It is an expectation that we, his disciples, will follow his teaching and example. Jesus continued his ministry of forgiveness even while on the Cross, “Father forgive them.” He continued his ministry of reconciliation, even while suffering on the Cross, as responded to one being crucified with him, “Today, you will be with me in paradise.” Sirach in our first reading asks “Could anyone nourish anger against another and expect healing from the Lord? Could anyone refuse mercy to another like himself, can he seek pardon for his own sins? These important questions confront what may be harboring in our hearts toward others. Sirach encourages “think of the commandments, hate not your brother; remember the Most High’s covenant, and over look faults.” This is really sound advice. This is a grace for spiritual growth. It is wisdom for living, promoting peace, allowing the healing power of love to become a light, dispelling the darkness of discord. Pope St. John Paul II wrote, “Certainly forgiveness does not come spontaneously or naturally to people. Forgiving from the heart can sometimes be heroic…Thanks to the healing power of love, even the most wounded heart can experience the liberating encounter with forgiveness…Asking and granting forgiveness is something profoundly worthy of every one of us.” Fr. Ron

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
24th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die,
we are the Lord’s.” (Romans 14:8)
This is the essence of stewardship – everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God. We aren’t “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts that God has given us, especially our very own lives. Pray to God daily and ask Him how He is calling you to live the life that He intended for you.
Parish Office
For pastoral considerations and for the health of our staff, the parish office remains closed until further notice. However, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the parish office will open from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM for your convenience. Entrance to the Pastoral Center will require the following: Please knock on the door and a staff member will greet you. Face coverings and 6ft social distancing is required while in the building. No access to bathrooms. If you need to contact a staff member, please call the office at 508-393-2838 or send an email to [email protected].
COVID-19 Prayer of Solidarity
For all who have contracted coronavirus, we pray for care and healing.
For those who are particularly vulnerable, we pray for safety and protection.
For all who experience fear or anxiety, we pray for peace of mind and spirit. For affected families who are facing
difficult decisions between food on the table or public safety,
we pray for policies that recognize their plight. For those who do not have adequate health insurance, we pray that no family will face
financial burdens alone. For those who are afraid to access care
due to immigration status, we pray for recognition of the God-given
dignity of all. For our brothers and sisters around the world,
we pray for shared solidarity. For public officials and decision makers,
we pray for wisdom and guidance. Father, during this time may your Church be a sign of hope, comfort and love to all.
Grant peace. Grant comfort. Grant healing. Be with us, Lord. Amen.
Weekday Morning Mass will be celebrated Monday through Friday at 9:00 AM
