    (vii) The numerator of a rational number is 3 less than the denominator. If the numerator is increased by 8 and the

    denominator is increased by 14, we get the same number. Find the number.

    Q10. Price of sugar in a city varies as S=12+(D/40) per kg and that of milk varies as M=10+(D/50) per litre. A

    person buys 20 kgs of sugar and 40 litre of milk daily. Terms are such that the customer has to pay the amount

    which is multiple of 10 (just less than calculated by aforementioned relations). Find out the date on which dailyexpense of customer becomes 1000 Rs. 8
