We set goals and have a vision for our lives and our career, but taking that first step towards success can sometimes be daunting and debilitating. Acknowledging why we get stuck, exploring our options and tuning into ways we can get moving on our goals are key elements of initiating change. As a group, we’ll explore the “hard truths,” share “transition pillars,” set goals and formulate accountability partners that will spark us into ac-tion. Come prepared to initiate change. Are you sensing that your parent’s mental status is changing? What elder care services are available in West Michigan?GVSU recognizes the challenges that faculty and staff are facing when providing care for an aging parent or loved one. By 2030, there will be about 71.5 million older persons, more than twice their number in 2000. To contact Work Place Options for resources and referrals, call 1-800-952-3586.

GVSU recognizes the need for good quality child care for the chil-dren of our faculty and staff. Families have a wide range of child care needs – ranging from infant care, care for special needs chil-dren, part time care to after school care and summer care for school age children. Finding child care can be a daunting task. The aver-age person spends over 30 hours searching for child care. Work Life Connections, along with Encompass/Work Place Options, can help you find daycare tailored to your particular needs. We will assist you through providing child care searches and offering pro-grams that address the issues related to child care.
