“Guy Talk” A program for boys ages 11-17 who present with Asperger’s Syndrome,

Higher-independence ASD and other social learning challenges (ADHD, Learning Differences)

Navigating adolescence is difficult enough, for boys with social learning needs understanding the complex feelings, increased social expectations and “hidden rules” the accompany middle and high school can be particularly challenging.

Guy Talk is a three-week course taught from a social learning perspective.

Separate Programs for Boys ages 11-13 and 14-17.

A parents-only sessions precedes the course. Parents will also receive a weekly email regarding what topics have been covered each week.

Course Dates: Middle School Parents-Only: Feb 24th, 2016 7:15-9:00 High School Parents-Only: March 2nd, 2016 7:15-9:00 Boys Ages 11-13 March 5,12,19 1:00-3:00 Boys Ages 14-17 March 5,12,19 10:00-12:00

Cost: $150.00 (includes parents-only session)

Hygiene

Healthy Body Image

Self-confidence Friendship, Dating & Relationships

Social expectations

Safe social media and internet usage

Socially appropriate behaviors (home, school and online)

Program Facilitators

Guy Talk was created and facilitated by Ryan Wexelblatt, LSW and Stephen Piazza.

Ryan is the Director of Center for Social and Executive Function Skills in Narberth, PA. Stephen is a middle school special education teacher and a graduate student at West Chester University.

Together, Ryan and Stephen bring many years of experience teaching social cognitive skills to students with social learning needs.
