Frequently during the course of the year, pictures of our students participating in various school activities, such as
assemblies, special class projects, etc., are taken. These pictures are often, submitted with articles to the local

Internet Safety and Acceptable Use Policy
The Internet access provided to the students and staff of the Guttenberg School District is in place to provide students with
technological means to supplement their educational activities with vast informational and research tools. This access is a
privilege that is offered to all staff and students and should be used in a responsible manner consistent with the district
academic goals and objectives. It is a tool that is funded largely by federal, state, and local funds. It’s funding depends on
compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act, which is mandated legislation that provides guidelines for ensuring
children’s safety when using the Internet in schools.
In the interests of student safety, and compliance with legislation, the following policy has been affected:
1) Acceptable Use – Internet Access is a privilege provided to all students and staff for the purpose of supplementing
academic activities by providing access to vast informational resources. Internet use must comply with any local, state
or federal laws and regulations concerning communications. Violations include but are not limited to transmission of
materials that are: obscene, threatening, or copyrighted Internet use must be consistent with the goals, objectives, and
rules of the Guttenberg School District. Any Internet use that violates the law or is inconsistent or contrary to the goals,
objectives, and rules of the Guttenberg School District may result in disciplinary action, revocation of Internet access
privileges, or legal action.
2) Protection Measures – A filtering device is in place to protect students and staff from harmful, inappropriate materials.
Internet sites that contain visual depictions that are obscene, such as pornography are blocked. This device also blocks
access to categories of harmful Internet sites. These include but are not limited to: Adult Themes, Computer Hacking,
Gambling, Weapons, Intolerance, Profanity, Violence, Alcohol, and Drugs. The filtering device is configured to allow
access to academically oriented materials. To maintain effective blocking capabilities, the filtering device is
automatically updated at periodic intervals to ensure comprehensive filtering.
3) Disabling of Protection Measures – The filtering device will be administered to unblock specific Internet content to
specific users for specific time periods for the purpose of legitimate legal bona-fide research pertaining to appropriate
academic and educational activities complying with District policies, goals, and objectives.
4) Personal Information Privacy – For personal privacy purposes students and staff are prohibited from disclosing any
personal identification information using any element of the Internet or direct electronic communications. These
elements include but are not limited to the World Wide Web, e-mail, and messaging services. Types of personal
identification information that are prohibited from disclosure include but are not limited to any person’s social security
information, home addresses, and home telephone numbers.
5) Personal Safety – Students are prohibited from agreeing to meet with anyone they have encountered using the Internet
without the approval and participation of a parent. Any communication received that is inappropriate or incurs
uncomfortable feelings should be reported to any appropriate administrative personnel.
6) Personal photos – May be included in Internet materials those photographs of students participating in school approved
activities always when the parent or guardian gives consent and if the student's name is not published. Photographs of
the school staff must have permission of school staff members who appear in photos.
7) Security – All staff and students are prohibited from disclosing any computer account information while using the
Internet. This includes but is not limited to usernames, passwords, and network configuration settings.
8) Unauthorized Access – All staff and students are prohibited from attempting to access any systems that they have no
authorization to use. This includes but is not limited to the activity commonly referred to as “hacking”, which is a
violation of law.
9) Vandalism – All staff and students are prohibited from engaging in acts of vandalism. These include but are not limited
to the attempt to harm, modify, or destroy any hardware, software, or data belonging to the school district or any other
person or entity though any physical means or through any electronic means such as hacking or viruses.
10) Harassment – All staff and students are prohibited from harassing any person or entity. This includes but is not limited
to the persistent sending of annoying, unwanted, or interfering communications through messaging systems or e-mail.
11) Etiquette and Conduct – All staff and students must adhere to District policies and rules of conduct when using the
Internet. Politeness is encouraged. All staff and students are prohibited from engaging in inappropriate on-line conduct.
Such conduct includes but is not limited to abusiveness, threatening, profanity, obscenity, offensiveness and defamation.
12) Monitoring and Reporting – All staff members must ensure that student Internet use is in a monitored environment.
While technological monitoring capabilities are in place, it is the responsibility of staff to supervise and oversee
student Internet use. Any inappropriate use should be stopped immediately and reported to any appropriate
administrative personnel. Reporting should include a detailed account of the activity or Internet site that was used, so
that the filtering device may be reviewed and manually updated if necessary.
13) Date and Communications Privacy – All staff and Students have limited privacy concerning personal files and
communications conducted using District systems. Any data or communications are subject to review if there is a
suspicion that violations have occurred to the district policies or laws. Routine system administration and maintenance
may also lead to the discovery of violations. Any data or communications involving district systems may be subject to
local, state, or federal laws and discovery.
14) Violations – Any violations to the district policies concerning Internet use will be subject to disciplinary actions
including but not limited to: suspension or revocation of Internet use privileges, and any other disciplinary actions
detailed in the District policy.
15) No Warranties – There is no warranty to any staff or students concerning the services provided. The District is not
responsible, nor will any staff or student hold the District responsible for any damages incurred due to usage of the
services.
17) Dissemination and Notification – This policy shall be distributed to all staff, students, and parents/guardians.
Staff and parents/guardians must sign an agreement to allow their students to use the Internet in school. Although the
District monitors and enforces the Internet Safety and Acceptable Use policy in school, Internet use outside of the
school is the responsibility of parents/guardians.

Póliza de Seguridad y Uso Aceptable del Internet
El acceso al Internet provisto a los estudiantes y al personal del distrito escolar de Guttenberg les provee a estos ayudo tecnológica para
suplementar sus actividades educativas con mucha información y herramientas para la investigación. Este acceso es un privilegio
ofrecido a todo el personal y a los alumnos y debe ser usado en una manera responsable consistente con las metas y los objetivos
académicos del distrito. Es una herramienta costeada con fondos, locales, estatales, y federales. El que se provea fondos para el Internet
depende de que se esté de acuerdo con el Acta de Protección de los Niños, la cual es legislación obligatoria la cual suple o normas que
garanticen la seguridad de los niños cuando usen el Internet en las escuelas.
Con el propósito de garantizar la seguridad del alumno(a) y de acuerdo a la legislación, la siguiente política ha sido puesta en efecto:
1) Uso Aceptable – el acceso al Internet es un privilegio provisto a los estudiantes y al personal con el propósito de
suplementar actividades académicas al proveer acceso a un gran número de recursos informativos. El uso del Internet
deberá cumplir con aquellas leyes y regulaciones locales, estatales y federales que tienen que ver con las comunicaciones.
Las violaciones incluyen pero no están limitadas a la transmisión de materiales que son: obscenos, amenazantes o
materiales protegidos por derecho de autor. El uso del Internet debe ser consistente con las metas, los objetivos y las
reglas del Distrito Escolar de Guttenberg. Cualquier uso del Internet que viole a la ley o sea inconsistente o contrario a
las metas, los objetivos y las reglas del Distrito Escolar de Guttenberg resultara en una acción disciplinaria, revocación
de los privilegios de acceso al Internet o acción legal.
2) Medidas de Protección – Existe un aparato que proteger a los alumnos y al personal de la escuela de materiales da niños
y no apropiados. Aquellos lugares del Internet que tengan dibujos que sean obscenos como la pornografía, serán
bloqueados. Este aparato también bloquea el acceso a ciertas categorías que podrían dañar sitios del Internet. Estas
incluyen pero no se limitan a: Temas Adultos, Juegos de apostar, Armas, Profanidad, Intolerancia, Violencia, Alcohol y
Drogas. Este aparato protector esta diseñado para permitir el acceso a materiales de tipo académico.
3) Invalidación de las Medidas de Protección – El aparato protector se utilizara para no bloquear el contenido específico
del Internet a usuarios específicos para periodos de tiempo precisos con el propósito de legitimidad verdaderas
investigaciones relacionadas a actividades académicas y educativas apropiadas que cumplan con las metas, los objetivos
y las políticas del Distrito.
4) Privacidad del Información Personal – Con el propósito de dar privacidad a los alumnos y personal de la escuela se
les prohíbe a estos el que divulgan cualquier tipo de información personal mediante del uso del Internet o comunicaciones
electrónicas directas. Estos elementos incluyen pero no se limitan al World Wide Web, e-mail y servicios de mensajes.
Tipos de información de identificación personal se prohíbe su divulgación pero no se limita al número de seguro social
de cualquier persona, su dirección o sus números telefónicos.
5) Seguridad Personal – a los estudiantes se les prohíbe hacer arreglos para conocer personalmente a cualquier persona
que hayan conocido atravesé del Internet sin la aprobación y la participación de uno de los padres. Cualquier
comunicación que se reciba y que no se apropiada o que haga sentir incomodo al estudiante debe ser reportada a
cualquiera de los administradores escolares.
6) Fotografías Personales – Pueden incluirse en materiales de Internet aquellas fotografías de estudiantes participando en
actividades escolares aprobadas siempre y cuando el padre o el guardián da su permiso y si el nombre del estudiante no
se publica. Las fotografías del personal de la escuela deberán tener permiso de los miembros del personal escolar que
aparezcan en las fotos.
7) Seguridad – se les prohíbe a los estudiantes y al personal escolar el divulgar cualquier tipo de información relacionada
con la computadora mientras use el Internet. Esta prohibición incluye pero no se limita a contraseñas, nombres usados
por los que usan la computadora, etc.
8) Acceso no Autorizado – se les prohíbe a todos los estudiantes y al personal escolar que intente usar cualquier sistema
para el cual no tengan autorización. Esto incluye pero no se limita a la actividad comúnmente llamada “hacking” la cual
es una violación a la ley.
9) Vandalismo – se les prohíbe a todo el personal escolar y a los estudiantes el que vandalicen. Los actos de vandalismo
incluyen pero nos e limitan a dañar, modificar o destruir cualquier pieza o artículo de la computadora o datos que
pertenezcan al distrito escolar o a cualquier otra persona o entidad usando el físico o cualquier medio electrónico tales
como los virus o “hacking”.
10) Acoso – se les prohíbe a todo el personal escolar y a los estudiantes el acosar a cualquier persona o entidad. Esto
incluye pero no se limita a enviar persistentemente mensajes que molestan, mensajes que no se desean o el interferir las
comunicaciones atravesé del sistema de mensajes o e-mail.
11) Etiqueta y Conducta – todo el personal escolar y los estudiantes deben adherirse a las políticas y reglas de conducta
del distrito cuando usen el Internet. La cortesía se fomenta. A todo el personal escolar y los alumnos se les prohíbe
involucrarse en conducta no apropiada “en línea”. Tal conducta incluye pero no se limita a abusos, amenazas,
obscenidades, profanidades, ofensas y difamaciones.
12) Observar e Informar – todo el personal escolar debe asegurarse que los estudiantes usando el Internet lo hagan en un
ambiente supervisado. Es la responsabilidad del personal escolar el supervisar el uso del Internet por los alumnos.
Cualquier uso no apropiado debe ser detenido inmediatamente e informado al personal administrativo pertinente. El
informe debe incluir un recuento detallado de la actividad o el lugar del Internet que fue usado para que el aparato del
filtro sea revisado y manualmente puesto al día si fue necesario.
13) Privacidad de Datos y Comunicaciones – todo el personal escolar y los alumnos tienen privacidad limitada con
relación a los archivos del personal y las comunicaciones conducido usando los sistemas del distrito. Cualquier dato o
comunicaciones están sujetos a ser revisados si hay alguna sospecha que se ha cometido alguna violación a las leyes o
políticas del distrito. El mantenimiento y la administración rutinaria del sistema también puede llevar a que se del

del distrito pueden ser descubiertos y están sujetas a las leyes locales, estatales, y federales.

del Internet y a cualquier otra acción disciplinaria detallada en la política del distrito. 15) No Garantías – no hay ninguna garantía a los estudiantes y al personal escolar con relación a los servicios ofrecidos.
El distrito no es responsable, ni podrá ser responsabilizado por ningún alumno o personal escolar por cualquier tipo de
daño incurrido por el uso de los servicios.
16) Diseminación y Notificación – esta política deberá ser distribuida a todos los alumnos, padres/guardianes y el personal
escolar. El personal escolar y los padres/guardianes deberán firmar un acuerdo permitiendo a sus estudiantes usar el
Internet en la escuela. Aunque el distrito supervisa y hace cumplir la política de la Seguridad y Uso Aceptable del
Internet en la escuela, el uso del Internet fuera de la escuela es responsabilidad de los padres o guardianes.

EARLY RELEASE / DISMISSAL PROCEDURE FORM
Anna L. Klein School policy states that all pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade
children must be picked up from school. All students in grades fourth thru eighth released early must be picked up from
school by a family member/parent designee. Please list below family members and/or emergency person who will be
permitted to pick up your child. Also if your child will be attending Day Care, please list below. Please include name,
relationship and phone numbers for each. Anyone who is not listed will not be permitted to take your child from school.
If there is a change, you must send a note with your child to the teacher stating who will be picking him/her up. Please list
