Sea Cruise and Melody is the snack cracker series consisting of five SKU as of today. The task was to create the global concept of the new cracker line, including naming, cracker shapes, and packaging. The target market is pre�y wide as to age and territory – with Ukraine as a core, it stretches from the East with the Arab Emirates and China to West with Western Euro-pean countries and the United States. The creative concept should be understandable to consumers with different backgrounds and respectful towards different cultures.   Our challenge was to make this project inspiring and innovative despite commonplace brief: too wide target audience; requirements literally to depict all cracker figures on the packaging; working for a mass-market segment. The final design combines modeling clay sculptures with real crackers for illustrations. According to our research, this technique was not ever used in food packaging design before, that is why this packaging series is considered to be unique.

Brun’ka is the first Ukrainian brand that offers certified organic cosmetics based on herbs that are common in Ukraine and were traditionally used in ancient beauty recipes. The brand name Brun’ka means “a bud” and along with the mo�o Life Inside it reveals the main idea of cosmetics line – to celebrate the energy of nature.   While working on this project, we aimed to combine contemporary design esthetics with original Ukrainian spirit. Rushnyk ornaments traditional for central Ukraine inspired the visual brand language. Each ornament on the package shows the herbal composition of a specific product.

Fairy Milk is a well-known and successful brand on the Ukrainian market. It has numerous fans that value its quality and philosophy but needed redesigning Fairy Milk line within global redesign of all the Molokija brands including the parent company. First of all, we had to keep a vivid yellow background of the packaging, as it has already become an important eye-catching a�ribute of Fairy Milk. It was essential to follow the existing childish style and use fairy tales characters, but we decided to make them especially touching and kind. To underline the origin of Fairy Milk, we used only Ukrainian fairy tales and got inspiration from children’s books design typical of Ukraine.

The inspiration for design, as well as the brand name, has been taking from Soviet-style of the 60s and 70s. The idea was not just to recreate romantic “look and feel” of grocery in USSR and evoke childhood nostalgia for the older generation. The design should a�ract young people who know about that time only from the stories of their parents. It is a fact that childhood memories are always the best. In this case, we believe that retro products are perceived as guaranteed quality and particularly tasty. And at the same time to avoid any reference to the ideological compo-nent of that time.

The design of the limited edition reflects the ancient traditions as well as the mastership of the Czech brewers. Each can has a hidden message that needs to be decrypted to get a chance of winning the prize.

The first mentions of kvass were date back to the 10th century and refer to the period of rule of the Kyiv Prince Volodymyr the Great. The design is grounded on the pre-Christian symbols that were preserved due to the tradition of pysanka (Easter egg) making, ancient frescoes and practical everyday objects from the Middle Ages.

Zemlya is the eights album of Okean Elzy rock band. Within Ukrainian culture, the symbol of the earth has special value. In Ukrainian language, the word “Zemlya” means the earth, the ground, the land, the basis, and the soil. For an agricultural country, the earth is the ma�er of importance. It is shown like generously filled seeds that are traditional for Ukraine. These are rye, wheat, beetroot, flax, hollyhock, apple, etc. The seed is like a symbol of the preserved life that has accumulated all history and power to create the future. But only on the earth. There are 12 songs in the album and 12 types of seeds on the cover. Each song corresponds to a particular seed.
