Shoe Skecth
A quick sketch of a shoe, using pencils and ink pen. The exercise was to capture the essence of form and texture of the object just by looking once to the same.I started with a basic outline and then proceeded towards detailing part which helped me to retain the closest character of the model shoe.
A theme was given to draw an object of daily use. I was given ‘Stronger....Sharper’ theme for which I drew this paper cutter. I added Sportier to the original theme because the cutter has that character also. The sturdy cutter is with me for almost 3 years and that’s my companion also.
Seeing the InvisibleDrawing with a different, interesting and scaled point of view led to a new world of possibilities where new forms, shapes and objects are found. First understanding of the object from the specific point of view was done and then the attempt of proportioned drawing was done. This exercise was helpful to widen the visualization spectrum by giving new dimensions to the observation and perception skills.

Creative GeometryCreative Geometry3D Tessellations
After learning the construction and properties of all Archimedean Solids, an assignment, to make a 3D tessellation using one or more of them, was given.
The objective was to understand the tessellation composition and interaction of solids among themselves.
I used eight cubes to make an interactive tessellation which can be used in many forms and different purposes. All eight cubes were sticken with cellotape in the middle of the face of the cube. They can be moved as shown in the photos.
This tessellation can be a very good concept for a board/ mind game for children as it is interactive and engaging.

Logo Design & The Punch lineOO LA LA Hotels
Exercise was to generate a name for a business category of my choice and then designing the logo and giving a punch line to that.
I decided to be a hotelier and after a brainstorming session with classmates (they were also working on same assignment) I got the name- ‘OO LA LA Hotels’ and punch line-’Check-in to the HAPPINESS’.
Character of the brand was royal yet playful meant for working/executive class clients. I drew more than 40 logos to arrive at the final one.

Craft Documentation: Metal Handicrafts of MannarIt was a group work under the ‘Environmental Exposure’ course of the curriculum. We went to Mannar, the bell metal town of Kerala in Alleppy Distt. We visited the metal work units and documented the same.My contribution was to put the content in flow and design the outline of the documentation report including cover design. This was a nice experience and our group did it efficiently.

Trophy DesignConcept & The Prototype
I conceptualized this trophy drawing the inspiration from origami and crea t ive geometry. The main consideration was to make a single joint product by using just one material. The aesthetics were also considered and the minimalistic approach was taken.
14 concepts were drawn and then this one was chosen on the merits of simple manufacturing, broader appeal and modern aesthetics.
This is made up of two square pieces of GI iron sheet metal. The simple folding was done diagonally and from mid points of the sides of the squares. Then these two pieces were joined by a rivet.

Product Study and Ergonomical Redesign Original Product: ‘Jupiter’-Dining Chair by Godrej Interio
Jupiter-Original Product & Dimensions
Tinkered Product: ‘Jupiter Plus’All dimensions in cm
Ergonomical Problems:
Ÿ Under knee strain
Ÿ Topples down easily (side)
Ÿ Insufficient backrest
Ÿ Sharp corners (seat)
Ÿ Leg finishing malfunctioning (uneven)
Ÿ Less height
Solution Approach: Anthropometric data was collected from 20 samples in KSID campus and the 5th, 50th, and 95th percentiles were calculated with standard deviation. The results were applied to the existing dimensions and the consideration was min. percentile and max. percentile.
Based on the Anthropometric Data of KSID Campus
Jupiter Plus-Dimensions
Ergonomical Tinkering:
Ÿ Seat (front) slope at angle of 10 down
Ÿ Legs widened
Ÿ Backrest height increased
Ÿ Footrest for shorter people
Ÿ Leg finishing Improved

I am a design student, traveler and a craft lover by
passion. Simplicity and minimalism can be the right
words to explain me. Chasing inspiration, making
concepts, innovating new products and evolution is my
ultimate goal in life. Leisure time is for drawing, reading
books, watching documentaries, playing with kids and
observing people all around.
Being a design student, regularly updating myself
is very important to be in the trend of fast moving world.
Reading magazines, staying connected with the design
edge world, exploring new materials, finding new
possibilities, technology, manufacturing techniques for
new product development is what I do. I am passionate
about materializing ideas derived from possibilities and
limitations, of the physical world, whether at the scale of
a minute craft or lifestyle products or furniture and
spaces.
