I am pleased to report that

mock online test was con-

ducted successfully for 8th

semester students and 14 stu-

dents attended the same. I

take this opportunity to thank

the staff members of electrical

and the co-operation extended

by the computer department

in conducting this test. A

workshop on MATLAB and

its hardware interface is

jointly being organized by the

department of Electronics and

the department of Electrical

Engineering on 17th and 18th

March in collaboration with

IIT Bhuvneshwar. The par-

ticipation of the students is

being promoted and it is

hoped that both the students

and faculty will benefit from

it. A Brief image of the work-

shop sponsors is being

provided.

New and innovative ideas are

the need of the industry and this

kind of courses need to encour-

aged in order to bridge the gap

after all the measure of intelli-

gence is the ability to change.

A One Day Workshop entitled “GO DIGITAL –

India Moving towards Cashless Economy” was

organized on 18th February, 2017 by CSE/IT de-

partment. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof

(Dr.) Amit Garg DCRUST, Murthal and Prof (Dr.)

Puneet Goswami, SRM University, Sonepat. The

workshop was attended by 65 participants from

different institutes. The workshop focuses on the

different modes of Digital Payment available. The

Speakers Ms. Sonia Juneja, Ms. Suman Arora, Mr.

Ashu Bansal and Ms. Ayushi delivered lectures

on Paytm, USSD/AEPS, UPI and BHIM respec-

tively. The organizing secretary Ms. Kiran Narang

welcomed Dr. Priyanka Garg, DCRUST, Murthal

accompanied by Prof (Dr.) K.K. Saini for the vale-

dictory function. Each participant was given hands

-on knowledge on the different applications. In the

end a comparative analysis of different applica-

tions was done to conclude the workshop.

Er. Lokesh Yadav, A.P. CE Deptt. was awarded

best Volunteer in the Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan

(VISAKA) by MHRD from Hindu College of Engi-

neering.

Maximum number of students from CE Department

had taken voluntarily participation in Vittiya

Saksharta Abhiyan and registered maximum entries.

They are also currently emphasizing on this work by

motivating shopkeepers in their proximity.

All the faculty members of CE Department had

participated in workshop titled “Go Digital” organ-

ized in HCE on 18th Feb. 2017.

Yakshansh, Final year student of CE Depart-

ment won the first prize in “Chess” in Sports

Turnier 2K17 organized by MVSIT &

BMCEM, Sonipat.

Tug of War team with maximum participation

of CE Students of HCE won the 3rd prize in

Sports Turnier 2K17 organized by MVSIT &

BMCEM, Sonipat.

The profession termed Engineering is the solicitation of the theorems of Mathematics and laws of Sci-

ence, trends in Economy; understanding the theoretical aspects and applying the practical acquaintance of

the knowledge to direct, design, polish & innovate the existing scenarios, mechanisms, practices and

solutions for the benefit of mankind.

Engineering agreeably acknowledges special statistics, skills, and judgement. Engineers must perform

under a standard of professional conduct that requires loyalty to the key principles of ethics with respect

to the specific set of beliefs, approaches and behaviours exhibited by the individual or group. It is my

privilege to share certain views on this topic. It is my humble request to the engineering students that they

need to develop the zeal about why they have opted for the engineering profession. Further, I suggest

them to accomplish the following measures to attain the determined values:

Training and Placement cell conducted a drive of Indian Army on 6th Feb, 2017 in

which many colleges from sonepat participated.

On 8th Feb, 2017 Synapse India conducted a Pool Campus in our college.

College also organized a Job Fair on 15th Feb, 2017 in which colleges from North India

participated. Almost 250 students took part in the drive .

CoCubes conducted a Assessment Test on 28th Feb ,2017 for recruitment .
