Gujarat Technological University marked the visit of a delegation from KARCHER, GERMANY on

13th October 2017. During the visit, the delegation had an Academic Interaction with Dr. Navin

Sheth, Honorable Vice Chancellor, GTU and team CGBS.

OFFICIALS PRESENT IN THE MEETING FROM KARCHER AND GTU

Mr. Ruediger Schroeder gave an introduction about Karcher. Karcher is based in Germany and is the

world’s leading cleaning solution provider and is active in over 190 countries through subsidiaries and

distributor. For nearly 80 years the company has been developing innovative cleaning solutions. 95% of

all products sold are less than 5 years old.

He also mentioned about the cleaning solutions related to Indian market and it is also highly associated

with Gujarat. HE also suggested that employment should be provided to unemployed people and also

develop training programs. He also suggested to have placements in India through Karcher.

THE WELCOME

The interaction was commenced with a welcome address from Mr. Keyur Darji (Depu ty Director-

CGBS). He briefed about GTU and also various programs and activities conducted by GTU. He also

brief about various International Collaborations with GTU.

INTRODUCTION BY RUEDIGER SCHROEDER

MOU was signed between Karcher and Gujarat Technological University.

MOU will establish Centre of Excellence for professional training in cleaning science.

Training will be provided in three major domains:

1. Entrepreneurship

2. General Cleaning skills

3. Training to sweepers for existing skill upgradation.

Dr. Navin Seth, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Bipin Bhatt, Registrar felicitated the delegates of KARCHER with a

memento.
