However, we need to remember that any claims about our products, which are not in harmony with applicable laws, could jeopardize our ability to continue to successfully market them (even more since the importance of accurate product-related communication has increased in our region). Likewise, the Nu Skin Business Opportunity is a very attractive Business Opportunity, thanks to Nu Skin’s history of innovation, financial stability, loyalty and commitment to Distributors, and competitive compensation plan. However, any claims regarding the income opportunity which are not in line with applicable laws, put the company at risk for regulatory action. In order to help you present our products and the income opportunity in an accurate and lawful way, please read the reminders below regarding what can and cannot be done and said about product and income claims: Product claims (Chapter 3, Section 2, Policies & Procedures): must be correct and not misleading Do: • only make the specific product claims and representations as published in Nu Skin’s Business Support Materials and Company literature (e.g. Product Information Pages, Nu Skin website), and approved by Nu Skin for the specific market where you make the claims; • share positive personal testimonials which are consistent with approved claims; • stick to Company literature and instructions for use for any product (to avoid your personal liability); • suggest customers to talk to their healthcare provider for diagnosis/treatment options for any healthcare concerns; • only use before/after pictures that have been approved by Nu Skin to demonstrate product benefits. However, any claims regarding the income opportunity which are not in line with applicable laws, put the company at risk for regulatory action.

• create your own before/after pictures;

• claim that any product is registered or approved by national authorities.

Income claims (Chapter 3, Section 3 Policies & Procedures): must be accurate and not misleading

Do:

• share your “Why”;

• talk about the success that can come through hard work, dedication and patience;

• emphasize the importance of retailing the product;

• talk about the competitive and innovative sales compensation plan;

• raise realistic expectations when talking to someone about the income opportunity;

• disclose the EMEA Distributor Compensation Summary when making compensation claims.

Don’t:

• make any false or misleading income/lifestyle claims or claims that do not contain achievable goals for an average person;

• make any income guarantees;

• share details of individual commissions earned;

• use the terms “passive” or “residual” income;

• make claims regarding individual timelines for reaching pin titles.
