GUIDELINES FOR EDITOR-IN-CHIEF INDONESIAN SCHOLARS CONFERENCE SYSTEM

(IS CONSYS)


1. First Registration :

Filled out the registration form. Once you click “register” button, you will get a notification email from our admin in order to activate your account. Please follow the instructions in your email.

2. Login into your account and go to submission officer/publisher page

Now, you have registered succesfully in our website. Welcome at IS Journal Conference System. Please login into your account in the appropriate space. Before checking submitted paper, please click “edit profile” button to edit your data.


Then continue to click “control panel” on the menu. You will find a display like this. Now, you are able to manage the new submitted paper. Please click “editor in chief” on the menu.

3. First Decision by Submission Officer (SO) / Publisher

Once the author submit new paper, you will get an email notification and you will also see “new paper” status on your page.


SO will check the format of the paper and decide whether format revision of that paper required. If SO decided “format revision”, author will get an email notification that he/she should revise the paper because of format revision. On the other hand, if SO decided “assign to CAE”, CAE (coord. of associate editor) will accept this paper directly and author will get an email notification confirming ID Paper. CAE will assign this paper to AE and then to the reviewer to do the review process of this paper. As well as the publisher, as editor-in-chief, you have the authority to monitoring the paper in the whole process.

4. Sending a decision to author

As editor-in-chief (eic), your work will be commenced after review process finished by editor. Editor will send the result of review from reviewers to you, and you should recheck the comments of reviewers and editors before submitting this to the author. The status of the paper will be “wait for EiC”, it means that your time to do the first job in IS Journal to submit the review result to the author began. You will get an email notification to remind you to do so.

Then click preview button and you will find the review result from reviewers.


Please choose the same decision made by reviewers. For this case, reviewers decided that this paper is “minor revision”. You should then choose the same thing in the box. Actually there is a space to write your comments to the author if you have, but it is optional, you could leave the box empty and click “submit”.

5. Accepted

You should do the same thing whenever editors submit the review results to you until the paper "accepted".


6. In Publisher

During the paper checked by the publisher, you always have the authority to monitor the status of paper until the paper declared eligible for publication or status of paper will be “published”.

It’s the end of the submission process of the paper. However, as editor-in-chief, you will get an email from author who will send you a copyright transfer form. Please notify the publisher once you accepted this form from author in order to recapitalize the data.

The following figure is the whole submission process and also the typical timeline that associates with each process. The deadlines for each process could be different for different conferences, please contact the conferences committee for more details.
