A VERY SIMPLESTEP-BY- STEP GUIDE TO CREATING
AN ACCOUNT IN
(ON WINDOWS)
This is a typical
Windows 7 Desktop.
To start …
Next click on your internet browser. You can use any,
either
Internet Explorer
Chrome
Firefox
The default website will
come up, on this case it’s Google.
Please note that your initial
screen might be different.
No Worries.
Next is click on the
address bar.
Then type “www.slideshare.
com”.And press “Enter”.
This is the “Slideshare”
website initial screen.
Let us go straight to
creating your account.
Click on “Sign-up”.
Since “Slideshare” was acquired by
LinkedIn, the only option to create an account is to join
“LinkedIn”.
So let’s assume that we don’t have
an account with LinkedIn.
Click on “Join LinkedIn”.
This is the registration form.
Obviously, we need to fill it up.
Provide your first name.
Then your last name.
…. your email address.
And your password. Make
sure you can remember it.
Write it in your notes if you feel it
is necessary.
Click “Join Now”.
It will bring you to a few necessary screen for more
details.
… Country (where you are in now).
… and the Postal Code.
… and click “Next”.
Another screen for details.
First, it is asking whether you are a student. I will it to
you to choose.
… your Job Title.
… your Company.
… and the Industry.
… then click “Next”.
This screen will come out. It is for
you to confirm that it is really
you.
You need to check your email for the confirmation code.
So, go to your email account … for this case, I’m
checking my Gmail and check for an email from
LinkedIn.
This is the email from LinkedIn.
Open it.
In the email, you will be provided
with the code and ….
…. click on “Confirm your
email”.
So, go back to Linked
(Slideshare) screen and type in
the “code” as provided to you in
the email.
The click “Verify”.
The next screen is for you to link your
smartphone to LinkedIn.
Select the country you are in.
…. your hand phone number.
…. then click on “Send an SMS”.
You will receive and SMS. It is up
to you if you want to install LinkedIn
into you smartphone.
And voila, you now have an account
not only Slideshare but
LinkedIn as well.
