General information:

-Elective residents may be required to do call

-Learning and operating priorities are given to

UofO residents according to seniority –

however, UofO residents are away on

Wednesday afternoons (noon – 5pm) for

academic halfday, and you will likely be the only

learner

-You are welcome to join for academic half day

-There are scheduled journal clubs – you are

welcome to attend

-There is a francophone hospital, L’Hopital

Montfort. There are 11 generalist ob/gyns.

Gyne and OB experience is saturated with

UofOresidents – your surgical role in a gyne

elective would consist largely of observation;

you would be required to do call and cover floor

issues. However, if you are looking for an

ambulatory francophone experience, it is an

excellent group to work with.
