Overview

The Fisheye plugin extends to the Smart Client the functionalities of the Fisheye

camera such as 360° viewing, horizontal panoramic view, and PTZ quad view modes.

The plugin enables the Smart Client to display the video without distortion. The plugin

enables the user to seamlessly view live and investigate any recorded incidents within

the field of view without any distortions and blind spots.

The following Features are available in both ‘Live’ and ‘Playback’ page:

Milestone software: Milestone Enterprise/Corporate 2016 with Device Pack 9.0 or

above


Plugin Installation

Two different plugin installers are available:

Hikvision_FisheyeDewarpingPlugin_x86.exe (32-bit XProtect Smart Client)

Hikvision_FisheyeDewarpingPlugin_x64.exe (64-bit XProtect Smart Client)

Step 1: Install the Hikvision fisheye plugin in the PC that Milestone Smart Client locates.


Select the correct Path that install Milestone Software. For example, Milestone

software install in ‘E:\Milestone’, then select the same path. Then finish the

installation.


Setup

Step1: Make sure the fisheye camera update the correct firmware and works properly.


Step2: Add fisheye device into the Milestone XProtect software.

Step3:

Start Milestone XProtect Smart Client, click ‘Setup’ in the upper corner of ‘Live View’

window. In ‘System Overview’ Option, find Hikvision Fisheye plugin and drag it into

the live view window.

Step4: Go to ‘Select Camera’ option and select the correct camera, click ‘Setup’ again

and then you would see the view.


Step 5: Select the View and right-click the mouse, find ‘Dewarp’ option and see the

dewarped view.


Step6: In ‘Playback’ page, the operation is the same as ‘Live’.

Feature

Dewarping View Modes

There are 12 dewarping view modes and 3 mounting type, please select the correct

mounting type and the dewarping mode as you want.


PTZ Control

There are some regions that marked as different colors in different dewarping modes,

please drag each region and you could see different place of the whole view.


In each PTZ window, please right-click the mouse and move, users could also see

different place of the view.

Move the mouse wheel in each PTZ channel view, zoom in and out are supported.
