Swamp Gravy on Stage in Colquitt Next MarchSwamp Gravy returned to the stage for its 16th Season in October and will reprise the

performance for audiences throughout the month of March 2009. As “Swampers” have saidsince 1992, “We’ve got a story to tell, and theatre goers say this is the best one yet.”

The story takes place during the Great Depression when a WPA oral history collector dropsin on the quaint Southern town. She soonfinds out about a secret marriage (and anextremely unhappy father-in-law), a bootleg-ging milkman, and a woman whose real ageis not known because her birth records wentup in flames during the War Between theStates . . . so the story goes! After visiting intown and hearing the stories they have to tell, the reporter gathers the greatest one – thestory of hope.

Swamp Gravy has managed to tell theirstories for 16 years; and this season it’s nosurprise they outdid even themselves. Visitwww.swampgravy.com for ticket information, reviews of the play, and information on how tohelp them keep telling their story. SwampGravy, Georgia’s Official Folk Life Play, isproduced by the Colquitt Miller Arts Council. For information, call 229-758-5450 or visitwww.swampgravy.com.
