Introduction: •In every age there are many who never
receive proper guidance and instruction and
they suffer for it.
•Many in society are looking for advice and
guidance for their lives.
•God word is truly our guide for life. Col. 3:17
•It’s our lamp and light to show us the safe
path. Ps. 119:105
•God will be our guide. Psalm 32:8;
Psalm 48:14; 73:24
•Let us learn some of God’s wonderful
guidance for our lives.
In Our Actions…
•God would have us be generous. Acts 20:35
•Without the thought of praise or reward.
Matthew 6:1-4
•With a willing and cheerful outlook.
2 Corinthians 9:7
•Don’t be stingy but give freely of your love,
spirit, creativity, encouragement, money,
and praise. Reflect the amazing love of
God. 1 Timothy 4:12
In Our Feelings…
•Express them with love and honesty.
Ephesians 4:25; not like Psalm 5:9
•When we feel shame, anxiety, grief, rage,
or fear express them to God, self, and a
trusted friend. Proverbs 27:5; 1 Peter 3:7;
Philippians 4:6
•We need to make sure that we use self-
control in our thoughts. Ephesians 4:26;
2 Peter 1:5-6, 10
In Your Relationship To God…
•Be prayerful! Luke 11:2; Colossians 4:2
•Remember, dependence and helplessness in
your relationship to God are prerequisites.
Matthew 5:3-4; Acts 17:25
•Be dedicated! 2 Tim. 4:16-17; Gal. 5:22
•Get a spiritual checkup constantly.
2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 Corinthians 9:27
•Work to always draw near to God and away
from the sinful world. James 4:8
In Your Heart…
•Be careful to keep it right with God.
Proverbs 23:7; Psalm 33:4; Acts 8:21-23
•For where your heart goes, so does your
actions and ultimately your soul.
1 John 2:15-17
•Be careful to keep yourself blameless and
unspotted from the world. 1 John 3:8;
2 Peter 3:10-14
In Your Troubles…
•Be totally trustful!
•For some strange reason, many times,
God has chosen to make us mature
through trials and hardships. James 1:2-8
•Look for God’s hand in every circumstance
and trust His guidance for the highs and
lows of life! 2 Corinthians 5:7
•Fully trust the Lord… Esther 4:14-16
In Your Successes…
•Be thankful… Colossians 3:15
•For it is God who has blessed each one with
their ability and skills (gifts). Romans 12:3-8
•Do not boast yourself… Proverbs 27:2
•Because of God’s goodness to us, our lips
should praise the Lord. Psalm 63:3
In Your Relationship To Sin…
•Be repentant! Luke 13:1-5
•Do not let any sin harden your heart or break
your connection to God. Psalm 119:10
•Be safe, confess your sins to God each day.
1 John 1:6-10
•Claim His promises that forgive you and
make you clean and pure by Christ’s
blood.
In Your Relationship To Others…
•Be helpful! Make a commitment to show
love and encouragement to someone each
day. Romans 14:18-22
•Challenge yourself to be kind and helpful
especially to those who least expect it!

In Worship…
•Be still! Psalm 46:10
•Expressing your love and praise for God is
not just for Sundays’. Make time to worship
the Lord every day. Hebrews 13:15
•Focus on and praise God with your whole
heart! Psalm 9:1; 1 Corinthians 14:15
In Your Mind…
•Read and think about something noble and
creative every day. Philippians 4:8
•Start your day with the Bible! Psalm 63:1;
119:147-148; 139:17-18
•Let the words of life fill your mind before
anything else gets to them. Psalm 19:14
•Be careful of your self-talk and love
yourself. James 1:22; Romans 13:9
Let God Guide Your Life!
•By trusting Him and following His
lead. Proverbs 3:5-6
•Start following Jesus Christ today

•Obey and be saved! Hebrews 5:9
•Hear & believe the gospel. Rom. 1:16
•Repent of all sin. Acts 2:38
