Sept. 29 - Athens & Corinth, GreeceThe architectural splendors of the ancient city of Athens are as magicalas ever. View the world-renowned Acropolis, the Propylaea, and theParthenon. Time permitting, view Mars Hill where Paul debated withthe intellectual community of his day. Walk among the ruins of theAgora, the ancient market place and center of Athenian public life. Youwill view the Olympic Stadium, home of the Olympics. Travel to Corinth(Acts 18), a city that inspired St. Paul’s most familiar letter. You willvisit the Archaeological Museum, the Market Place, and Temples. Walkamong the ruins and stand on the Bema where Paul stood. Oct. 1 - Rhodes, Greece (On Own)Paul visited Rhodes briefly on his way to Jerusalem at the end of histhird missionary journey. Over 1,200 years later when Jerusalem fellduring the Crusades, the Knights of St. John fled to the island ofRhodes, where they ruled for two centuries. Suleiman the Magnificentfinally captured the island, but lost 50,000 men in the campaign. Thecastles and old town built by the knights are still impressive today.Shore excursions are booked through Celebrity.

Oct. 2 - Paphos, CyprusArrive in the picturesque harbor of Paphos. It is in Paphos that Paulwas flogged and had 39 lashes because of his belief in Christianity(Acts 13). The Pillar of Paul now stands on this spot. Visit the Houseof Dionysos, House of Theseus, House of Aion and House of Orpheuswhere the finest mosaics in Cyprus are located. Visit the Tombs of theKings, also known as Palaiokastra, where hundreds of burialchambers are cut into the rock.

Oct. 3 & 4 - Bethlehem & Jerusalem, Israel We dock at Ashdod. Explore Bethlehem, where you’ll discover the caverevered as the place where Jesus was born (Matt. 1; Luke 2). Thechurch, which was constructed on the site, is the world’s oldest

functioning church. Travel to Jerusalem and see the House of the HighPriest Caiaphas, where Jesus was tried before the Sanhedrin. Standupon the Mount of Olives and view the city as Jesus did. Wanderamong the olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the OldCity and see the Pool of Bethesda. You’ll walk along the Via Dolorosato the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built over the sites of theCrucifixion and Resurrection.

Oct. 5 - Sea of Galilee, IsraelWe dock at Haifa. Venture inland to the Sea of Galilee. You’ll stand onthe Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus gave His most well-knownsermon (Matthew 5). At Tabgha, the traditional location for the callingof the disciples and the feeding of the 5000, you’ll find the Church ofthe Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9). Visit the Chapel of the Primacy wherethree times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21).Travel to the shore town of Capernaum where Jesus called Peter,Andrew, James, John (Matt. 4) and later Matthew.
