Points to Remember in Using Descriptive Adjectives

A.Descriptive adjectives are usually placed before the nouns they describe. Examples:

1. The lost sheep was found by the worried shepherd after a few days.

2. The terrified child sought the assurance of her loving mother.

B. Some adjectives are placed after be- verbs (is, are, was, were, etc.) Examples:

Refrain from using vague adjectives such as nice and okay. These words are bothersome since they just bring unclear description.
