Guatemala Fall Mission Trip Who are our partners in Chichicastenango, Guatema- la? OHC will be partnering with efforts through missionaries, Matt & Leslie Capehart, and Maritza Jerez of Missions Fron- tierorganization. Our service will be in construction of vil- lage homes to help provide a home for a Quiche family that is unable to afford such a home, which are mostly widows, through a process directed through Missions Frontier”. The team will also serve in the sharing of Jesus to children and adults, through Bible dramas, praise, crafts, & other activities. Another major area of service is in the dental outreach ministry to villages, as well as read- ing glass ministry. We are thankful for the wonderful partnership with Missions Frontierleadership teams, as we serve alongside one another for Gods King- dom vision and purposes. Trip Dates: September 20-27, 2020 Guatemala Itinerary for the Week (Tentative) Sept. 20 Depart San Antonio early; arrive in Guatemala around noon. Load up into bus for a 3-4 hour bus ride to the mountain areas of Chichicastenango & settle into Casa Del Rey. Team orientation after arrival. Sept. 21-23 Minister to different areas with dental, children/adult ministry, & widow home construction; team effort between local Quiche leaders, & OHC team. Sept 24 Day Offin Chichicastenango where we experience open air market day” & enjoy a true market day experience.Sept. 25 Village ministry (same as Sept. 21-23 days above) Sept. 26 Depart Casa Del Rey” & travel towards our departure city of Guatemala City; in route we visit Lake Atitlan area & stay in Antigua for the night. All inclusive: meals, lodging, in-country transportation , insurance, Interpreters, bottled water, and ministry supplies, etc. Airfare Cost: $750 OHC MUST arrange all Airfare travel. Place of Stay: Casa Del Rey is a hotel located on the mountainside overlooking the city of Chichicastenango. Each room is double or triple occupancy with a large area room with a fireplace and sitting room. The hotel has showers, with hot water; bathroom facilities are included in each room. Breakfast & dinner are included in trip cost. Dinner will be buffet-style, including soup, salad, main course, with dessert. Trip Orientation: We will have several Team meetings prior to our trip. We will provide you with a Team Informational Packet at the 1st Team Meeting. Team Meet- ings are required and will focus on building team unity, learning about the culture of our designated country, discuss and plan for our in-country service.
