Seas Star Families

Today we begin our 2nd quarter which promises to have lots of learning as well as a few fun activities between now and the end of December. Please join our Sea Star team by being a part of your childs education. Below are a few ways you can do that. Dont forget to help with homework, read together each night, and attend our many events including our STAR Diner and Breakfast.

Attendance

School attendance is extremely important to success in school. Regular and consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in making good grades. Please remember that the tardy bell rings at 9:45 am and parents can pick up their students early until 3:15 pm. After this time, parents will need to wait till the end of school bell rings!

Car Loop

Thank you for your patience with our car loop each day. Please remember in order to keep everyone safe and our line running efficiently you must: have your car-rider tag in the dashboard of your vehicle. If you do not have your tag you will have to park and go to the office with your identification.

Parents are not allowed to walk up and pick up their children. Everyone must remain in your vehicle and go through the loop.

We are a smoke/tobacco free campus which means no smoking while on campus, including in vehicles on campus.

Red Ribbon Week

The week of October 24-28 our students and staff will focus on saying NO to Drugs! Each day will have a different theme so watch for a flyer sharing how the students can be involved and share their commitment to saying NO!

Black and Orange Day

At GTES we will celebrate our annual Black and Orange Day on October 31st. We encourage everyone to wear black and orange that day! Halloween activities are saved for time with families that evening at home.

Great American Teach-In

Contact your childs teacher to visit GTES and share what you know about a career with our students. Our sharing day is November 16, 2016, 9 to 3.

Winter Wonderland

On December 15th we will have out annual winter event and transform our campus into a Winter Wonderland filled with pictures with Santa, special holiday crafts, activities, and food. Look for more information to come home in a few weeks.
