    1. Summary

    The SMS Printer is a fixed wireless terminal for telecommunication operators

    to develop fixed telephone services. It takes the advantages of the wide coverage of

    mobile communication network and convenient installation to meet the fast increasing

    requirement of users. The main functions are Air Voucher Charge and SMS

    Printer.

    4. Operation

    4.1 Insert SIM Card

    Note: Please turn off the printer before inserting or getting out of the SIM Card.

    1) Take off the SIM card cover at the back of the unit.

    2) Move the SIM card clamp in the same direction as OPEN.

    3) Put the SIM card inside

    4) Close the SIM card clamp in the same direction of LOCK.

    4.2 Install the paper

    1) Open the paper cover

    2) Take out the paper feed roll

    3) Put the paper into the paper feed roll

    4) Reinstall the paper feed roll to the orignal position5) Roll the paper to the exact place, and make the top of the paper to be with the

    same level of the cut notch.

    6) Close the paper cover

    4.3 LCD Introduction

    After switching on the printer, the printer will start up. Then, it will search GSM

    network automatically. If it is successful, it will enter into idle screen.

    4.4 Key Board Introduction

    Key Description

    Handfree Press this button instead of taking up handset.

    F1 Hot key

    PRINT Print the current information

    FEED Let the paper walking and rolling out to some length for cutting

    CONFIRM Run the left soft Menu ,in the submenu means confirm

    CANCEL Run the right soft Menu ,in the submenu means cancel

    In menu operation state, press this key to select anterior item.

    In menu operation state, press this key to select next item.

    To move the cursor right.

    To move the cursor left.

    OK HOT key of some confirmed control (defined by software)

    C (Cancel) HOT key of some cancel control (defined by software)

    4.5 Number Key

    There are 12 keys, which can input digit and alphabet (capital & lower case).

    When the printer is in input state, it shows the inputted letter amount on theupper-right of the LCD screen. There are several input methods, such as ABC,

    4.6 Input Method

    Alphabetinput method (include Capital and Lowercase)

    e.g.: For inputing Mary, the steps are as follows:

    1) Press # to enter into ABC input method. Then, press key of 6 to

    input M.

    2) Press # to enter into abc input method.

    3) Press key of 2 to input a.

    4) Press key of 7 for three times, it will input r.5) Press key of 9 for three times, it will input y.

    Digit input method:

    Press # to enter into 123 input method, then press the corresponding key

    of digit.

    5. Basic Operations

    5.1 On-Off the phone

    Switch On: After switching on the power, the phone starts up. At first, it displays the

    software version. Then, it searches GSM network automatically. If it is successful, it

    will enter into standby state.

    Switch Off: When you do not use the phone, please switch off.

    5.2 Answering the Call

    When the phone rings, LCD will display the incoming number.[HANDFREE]

    key can be pressed to answer the call.

    Note: The display of incoming number requires supporting from the network.

    5.3 Making Calls

    1) Press the [HANDFREE] Key

    2) Dial phone number.[C] key can be used for deleting the last letter, while [cancel]key is for deleting all

    the input letters.

    3) Press [confirm] Key

    If [confirm] key is not pressed, the call can also be made after a few seconds.

    6 .Menu

    When the printer is in idle screen, [CONFIRM] key can be pressed to enter into the

    main menu. You can also press [] or [] key to choose other menu.

    Note:To enter into the submenu, please press [CONFIRM]while press[Cancel]to

    exit.

    6.1 Message (SMS)

    When the phone is in idle screen, press [OK] key, then press [] key to selectMessage to enter into SMS menu.

    New Message

    User can edit message contents under this menu. After the content is edited,

    [confirm] should be pressed. Then select send and input the phone number. To

    send the message, press [confirm]. If you select Save, it will only save theedited message.

    Inbox

    User can read messages received on the phone under this menu.

    OutBox

    Read the messages which are sent.

    Msg Settings

    Msg Centre: Setting the short message center number.Msg Period: Setting the period for saving the message.

    Clear Msg: Clear the message.

    Print the Message

    If u press [PRINT] when reading the message, it will print out the message.

    6.2 Clock

    Set time Setting the time;

    Set Date: Setting the date.

    Date Format: Setting the date format.

    Set Time Format: Setting the time format.

    6.3 Audio

    Incoming Ringtones: Setting incoming ring tone.

    Order Ringtones: Setting order ring tone.Ringer Volume: Setting ring tone volume.

    Speaker Volume: Setting speaker volume.

    Key Tone Volume: Setting pressing key tone volume.

    6.4 Settings

    Setting Contrast: Set the contrast of LCD.

    Backlight: On/Off the LCD light.Language: Select the display language.

    Remote Upgrade: Upgrade software to the last version.

    Software: View the current software version.

    6.5 SMS Order Operation

    The SMS printer can receive and explain SMS Order (formatted SMS).

    The format of the order SMS is as follows:

    NOTE:

    1) Order Type: The value is 1 or 2. Order Type=1, Delivery; Order Type=2,

    Collection.

    2) Customer Type: The value is 4 or 5. Customer Type=4, Verified; Customer Type=5,

    Not Verified.

    3) Payment Status: The value is 6 or 7. Payment Status =6, Order paid; Payment

    Status=7, Order not paid.

    4) For the delimiters (such as *#+), they are half-width characters. Please do not use

    full-width characters.

    5) If you want the SMS printer to respond SMS to the SMS Server, you should set

    parameter Center platform number as the SMS Server number (or SMS gateway

    number, e.g. 12345678).

    The flow of accept or reject the SMS order is as follows.

    1. New order

    The SMS server sends a new SMS order with the fixed format to the SMS printer.

    After the SMS printer receives the SMS order, the SMS printer beeps thent shows

    Press OK To Acknowledge automatically as below.

    At this time, you can press OK key to print the content of the order except customer

    phone number.

    After print, the screen will show "Please Press "OK" to Accept or "C" to reject the

    order"

    Press OK key to accept this order, it requires you to input the delivery time.

    After input time, the SMS PRINTER will append print the customer phone at the

    last of the report. and send confirmation message to SMS server.

    Press C key to reject this order, it requires you to select a rejection reason. Afterselecting reject reason, the SMS PRINTER will append print the cancel order

    information at the last of the report. SMS PRINTER will send rejection

    information to the server.

    2. History orders

    1) The printer is in idle screen.

    2) Press [CONFIRM] to enter into menu, then select the menu of Device

    Manage. There is submenu of Order List which can be used to check the

    SMS order list.

    A. Latest Orders means the message that has not been accepted or rejected which is

    to be dealt with it.

    B.

    Confirm means the message that has been accepted. And it displays the orderserial number.

    C.

    Reject means the message that has been rejected. And it displays the order serial

    number.

    D. SMS PRINTER can store 100 messages at most, so, when messages is over 100,

    SMS PRINTER will delete the oldest message automatically.

    So user should often enter Order List menu and deal with order in time.

    User also can delete all SMS byDevice Manage---SetClear All

    U can check next order list by pressing key, and pressing key to check last order

    list.The user can also press [confirm] key to see the details or press [cancel] key to exit

    that menu.

    3. For Example

    For Example: Set Center platform number to be your mobile phone number

    (supposed that your mobile phone number is SMS gateway number),then send a SMS

    order to your mobile phone number by another mobile phone. The content of test

    SMS order is that:

    --If the SMS order is accepted, the SMS Printer will reply SMS to server /sender with

    The Reason is what is selected from REJECT REASON item when you reject the

    order.

    6.6 GPRS Mode and Web server

    The device also can receive order from web server via GPRS.

    1. Your web server has a static public IP Or a domain name.

    2. In GPRS mode, the following parameters should be set on the SMS PPRINTER:

    Connection Mod;

    IP;

    PORT;

    APN;

    GPRS UserName;

    GPRS Password;

    FILE PATH;

    CALLBACK URL

    Please set parameter ID 22 Connection Mode to 00.

    These 3 parameters are for the PRINTER to connect to internet via GPRS. Please

    ask your GSM service provider for these parameters. In china, the UserName and

    Password are null.

    IP, PORTThese 2 parameters are for the PRINTER to logon to your web server.

    4) FILE PATH

    It is for the Printer to get the orders in TXT file from your web server.

    5)

    CALLBACK URL

    It is for the PRINTER to reply accept/decline notice to your web server.

    All above mentioned parameters can be transferred to PRINTER via PC

    Management system which provided by us.

    Your web server creates the order in txt file, the file code is ANSI, and save it in

    a folder. The format of the txt file is as below example: ( The sample TXT order

    file is saved in the folder Example of the CD)

    TIPS:

    1. Order Type:The value is 1 or 2.

    1) When Order Type= 1, it means Delivery;

    2) Order Type=2 means Collection.

    2. Customer Type:The value is 4 or 5.

    A. Customer Type=4 means Verified;

    B. Customer Type=5 means Not Verified.

    3.Payment Status:The value is 6 or 7.

    1) Payment Status = 6 means Order paid;

    2) Payment Status= 7 means Order not paid.

    Notice: About the delimiter such as *#*;, it is Half-width characters. Please do not use

    Full-width characters.

    If you want the SMS printer to send SMS back to the SMS Server, you should set parameter

    Center platform number as the SMS gateway number ( For example 12345678).

    If some fields are not applicable to what you need, set it to blank.

    Every PRINTER should have its own unique txt order file

    The orders in the txt order file are those orders, which were not handled

    (accept/decline) by the PRINTER yet.

    Your web server refreshes the order file in following status.

    1.

    Add new order data to the order file after the customer make a new order.2.

    Delete accepted/declined order from order file after the web server received

    the return notice (Accepted/declined order) from PRINER.

    Important Note: Please make sure every order should be ended with

    0x0D0x0A

    The PRINTER has an option of FILE PATHfor setting download order file path.

    For example, set FILE PATHas:

    Every SMS printer has its own corresponding file name. For example:

    ..

    The PRINTER will automatically get the orders from your web server on timing.

    The PRINTER has an option of CALLBACK URLfor replying accept/declinenotice to your web server. For example, set CALLBACK URLas:

    After the orders were handled (accepted/declined) by the PRINTER, the printer

    will submit a reply to the web server. For example:

    There are seven parameters.

    a is the ResID which had been set in the device (Parameter ID 5 ResID).

    o is the Order No which come from the order.

    ak is the operation of accepting/Rejecting order. If accept the order,

    ak=Accepted. If reject order, ak=Rejected

    m is the description of accepting/Rejecting order. If accept the order, m=ok. If

    reject order, m is the reject reason that the operator selected when rejecting the

    order.

    dt is the time that the operator input when accepting/Rejecting order.

    u is the user name for login your web server (Parameter ID 58 Login Web User

    Name).p is the password for login your web server (Parameter ID 59 Login Web

    Password).

    7.Appendix 1: Parameters List

    5 RES ID UTF8 The device ID.6 - ASCII Reserved parameter. Please do not change it.

    7 USSD Print ASCII It is with 3 functions:

    a) It will print after pressing PRINTbutton

    b) Automatically print (wait for the user to select the USSD

    content)

    c) Automatically (no select)

    00: close all

    01: open (c)

    8 IP ASCII Static IP of the web server, set like this

    192.168.112.13; If domain name, can set like:

    www.goodcom.cn, and it will use 70item (DNS)to

    analyze this domain name.9 port ASCII The port of the web server.

    10 APN ASCII Access Point Name for GPRS connection. Please ask your GSM

    service for this parameter.

    After dealing with the current order, it will connect again with server

    to get new order.

    12 - ASCII Value:1111. Reserved parameter. Please do not change it.

    13 - ASCII Please use the value that the manufactory provided. Do not to change

    it.14 SMS Demand Hex 01: If you want the printer to print the formatted order with the preset

    receipt format, you should set it to 01.

    00: Not support the format order.

    15 Reject Reason UTF8 The items of rejection. The operator can select a reason when he

    refuses the order. It can set 15 items. Every item is be separated by

    ;.

    16 Repeat Reply Hex Value:00. Reserved parameter. Please do not change it.

    17 - Reserved parameter. Please do not change it.

    18 Auto Reply Hex This parameter often be used when SMS Demand=00.

    01: In SMS mode, it will reply SMS to the sender automatically.

    00: In SMS mode, it does not reply SMS to the sender.

    19 Auto Reply Content ASCII The SMS content for the printer to reply the sender.

    This parameter is related with parameter 18 Auto Reply.

    If it had been set to SMS mode, and Auto Reply=01, it will reply

    SMS with this content to the sender automatically.

    20 Beep Duration ASCII Value: 0-99, the duration of the ringing when receive new order.

    21 - ASCII Reserved parameter.

    22 Connection Mode Hex 01: SMS mode.

    00: GPRS mode, compatible with SMS02: GPRS mode, not compatible with SMS

    23 Music Tips Hex 00: No ringing when receives new order.

    01: Ringtone1 when receives new order.

    11: Ringtone2 when receives new order

    21: Ringtone3 when receives new order

    31:Ringtone 4 when receives new order

    41: Ringtone 5 when receives new order

    Appendix B: Notice

    User should save manual.

    Please read this manual carefully before fixing the terminal.

    Dont put terminal in rain or wet place.

    The terminal only use valid SIM card. SIM card will be offered by server department.

    Dont open shell personal. If terminal has any question, please touch the dealer.

    Electric outlet should be fixed nearby the terminal in order to use expediently.

    Appendix C: Question and Solution

    Question 1: Switch the terminal on, but it cant work.

    Reason: The battery capability is so low that the terminal cant work.

    Solution: Please use power adapter to charge the battery for a while and then

    switch the terminal on again.

    Question 2: The battery is not chargeable.

    Reason: TheBattery or the charger is bad.

    Solution: Replace the battery or charger by another one.

    Question 3: Signal weak or no signal

    Reason: Use terminal in GSM Signal blind area. For example, the terminal is

    installed nearby high building or basement where wireless electric wave cant

    transmit enough.

    Solution: Avoid this period using it. Move the antenna to some place where the

    signal is strong enough.

    Question 4: There is cacophony or reecho while calling.

    Reason:

    The relay line of net is bad that belongs to area question.

    The calling line is not good in some area.

    Solution: Hang up and dial again. Maybe the relay line will change a better one.

    Question 5: Outgoing or incoming call is normal, but cant send SMS.

    Reason: SMS service centre number is wrong.

    Solution: Reset the right SMS service centre number.

    Question 6:Notice there is no card.

    Reason:

    Be sure there is no card in the terminal.

    It is not good for SIM card metal interface.

    Solution: Check the SIM card is in or not, if is in. Please rub card metal interface

    and insert it again.

    Question 7: Time the terminal is keeping open becomes short.

    Reason:Need changing new battery.

    Solution: Change new battery.

    Question 8: Cant connect network.

    Reason 1:It is a forbidden number.

    Solution 1: Having set forbidden numbers or forbidden long-distance call.

    Reason 2: Signal weak

    Solution 2: Remove to another place where signal is strong.

    Question 9: When open or close PIN code, the screen shows SIM card is wrong.

    Reason: PIN code has opened or closed.

    Question 10: PIN code is wrong.

    Reason: That is not special card for terminal.

    Solution: Special card that operation will supply must be used for Terminal

    Question 11: Some function cant be set.

    Reason: Network service cant be able to support those functions, or the card

    cant supply those functions.

    Solution: Please touch with operation.

    Question 12: Terminal can be used at this position, but cant be used at the others

    position.

    Reason: Area lock has been opened.

    Solution: As usually, one terminal cant be used in two places. If user needs

    special service, please touch operation.
