About Ras LaffanRas Laffan City, wholly owned by Qatar Petroleum (QP), began operations in 1996. It is mandated to provide infrastructure, facilities and services in the city to enable the establishment and functioning of industries to exploit the State of Qatars vast gas reserves in the North Field which lies 80 kilometres offshore Ras Laffan.

Brief Scope Description (A)Part A (PIC Contract) - Construction of Waste Transfer Station Facility, will consist of the following major functions and associated facilities :Site Plot Area = 40,000 M2The Transfer Station Building: is a pre- engineered framed structure, with a column spacing of 7.50m. The building wall is of concrete blocks up to 2.50m from the floor. The remaining portion of the wall up to roof level shall be Zinc-Galvalum metal sheet cladding. (Built-up Area = 2,204 M2)

Brief Scope Description (A)The Administration Building: shall be abutting the transfer station building. It is a two (02) storey Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) building. External walls shall be of block work. The building comprises of offices, store room, prayer room, rest area, utility rooms and toilets. The offices shall have windows overlooking the transfer station for supervising operations. A technical equipment room for installation of telecommunication cabinet and telephone IDF in the administration building. (Built-up Area = 420 M2)

Brief Scope Description (A)Building Utilities and Services: Building Utilities includes Ventilation for Transfer Station, HVAC for Administration building, Fibre optic link and Electric and UPS power supply, tanks for potable water, foul water, irrigation water.

Part B (EPIC Contract) - EPIC for Improvements of Waste Management Facility in RLIC, will consist of the following major functions and associated facilities:New Weighbridge: One (01) new weighbridge shall be provided complete with HMI and other automation accessories. The HMI system of the existing weigh bridge, including the load cells shall be upgraded and shall be integrated with the new weighbridge HMI systemModifications to the existing Control room: The control room layout shall be modified to enable the operations of both weighbridges on either sides of the control room. The control room shall be provided with new Air conditioning units. Fire & Gas Alarm System shall be provided for the weighbridge control room. Power supply shall be provided from the existing package substation. UPS and batteries shall be installed in the control room. Telecom equipment shall be installed for integrating fire and gas alarm system in the weigh bridge control room to the RLIC Central Alarm Monitoring system.Road improvement: The approach road to the weighbridge shall be modified by demolishing the existing roundabout, widening of the road and improving the road drainage. The road up to the transfer station shall be widened to cater to the expected traffic.Brief Scope Description (B)

Brief Scope Description (B)Service Bay, Equipment storage area, Rest area: Service Bay shall be an open to sky 25m x 25m area for maintenance of waste management vehicles. Equipment Store shall be 5m x 5m single storey building. Rest area shall be 5m x 10m abutting Equipment Storage room, with RCC roof.Land Treatment Units: Two (02) numbers additional sand cells similar to the existing LTUs

Part (B):We will start with Land Treatment Units (LTU) and Service Bay DesignsDuring this time, procurement of weighbridge should start (Long Lead Item)Based on procurement and design of weighbridge, new design of surrounding roads and facilities shall be conductedOnce all required designs done, procurement and construction of all components shall proceed in accordance with approved planning package
