From the GSSA President

GA Skeet Shooters:

Welcome to another spring shooting season, but this one has turned out like no other! With some of the gathering requirements expected to expire May 13, the current plan is to go ahead with the 2020 State Skeet Shoot at Forest City Gun Club May 29-31. We will be putting out additional instructions on social distancing, etc as we get closer to the date and we are sure what we will need to do to comply with the Governors Executive Orders. We look forward to the great targets that Forest City is known for and a good time had by all. Please also note that this is an open shoot and your shooting friends from out of state are welcome to join us.

As last year we will be starting the 20GA on Friday after the Doubles to allow us to shoot all of the 12GA rotations and 12GA shoot-offs on Saturday. This will be advantageous for the one gun 12GA shooters and should allow more folk to make the Awards meeting afterwards. Also you will note that there are no 4:30 rotations on Saturday or Sunday which should allow us to start shoot offs a little earlier and begin the evening’s festivities or the trip home a little earlier. We will not be using PreSquad for squadding this year. The program contains instructions to contact Tami directly.

As your President I appreciate the opportunity that I have been blessed with to meet new shooters from across the state and region. I look forward to continuing to support and promote our great sport now and in years to come. As always, I welcome any input you may have.

Sincerely,

Jim Lindell, President
