NEED FOR RPFI In most of the industries, colleges & hospitals we have some equipment which needs power 24X7 days. So it will be connected to a UPS system. In case if the Battery is about to dry and the power are lost then it becomes a problem. In such cases our panel monitors the power to such equipment and alerts the user when the power supply fails or when the system is running on UPS. So that the corresponding person can know that the system is running on UPS and necessary actions can be taken. Our unit has provision to give alert, when the power is regained. In addition to this it has a provision to alert on 8 fault conditions through “NC”, “NO” contacts. In most of the industries, colleges & hospitals we have some

equipment which needs power 24X7 days. So it will be connected

to a UPS system. In case if the Battery is about to dry and the

power are lost then it becomes a problem.

In such cases our panel monitors the power to such

equipment and alerts the user when the power supply fails or when

the system is running on UPS. So that the corresponding person

can know that the system is running on UPS and necessary actions

can be taken.

Our unit has provision to give alert, when the power is

regained. In addition to this it has a provision to alert on 8 fault

conditions through “NC”, “NO” contacts.

1.1 Operation:

Once the unit is armed and configured, upon any input the unit it will send 5 SMS to each mobile Numbers stored in memory. Additionally it makes call to the mobile numbers stored in memory to indicate the event

2.1 Configuration:

Insert the SIM Card into the GSM Board on the space provided. Connect the sensor Wirings and indicated on the panel wiring diagram. Connect the battery terminals to the circuit and switch on the Power supply.

After power up, the unit waits for the NOS Command for storing the mobile numbers to memory. It wont accept any other command other than NOS. The unit is accessible to only those numbers which are programmed through NOS Command. After the successful completion of NOS Command other commands can be sent by the user to process.

The unit always replies to the command sent by the user. If the reply is not received then the user must send the request again to accomplish the task.

3.1 Command and its Reply:All the commands must be typed and sent to the unit as SMS

Message.

3.1.1 NOS Command:

This Command is used to store the mobile numbers to the Unit’s Memory. A Maximum of 5 Numbers can be stored. For security reasons, the unit is accessible to only those mobile numbers which are programmed through NOS Command.

The Same NOS Command is used to change the Mobile Nos later on, which requires a Login command.(Refer Section 3.1.17). The old mobile Numbers will be overwritten by the New Mobile Numbers and this action is conveyed to the Old Mobile Numbers.

Format:Nos MobileNumber1 MobileNumber2 ……. MobileNumber5

3.1.10 EMSGHI Command:

This command is used to change the text message for Emergency Alert input when the input is high. Default Messages is “AC Power Failure. UPS ON.”

Format:

EMSGHI <Text Message>

<Text Message> Maximum of 25 Characters

Example:

EMSGHI Emergency Alert High

Reply:After the successful completion of the command the unit will

send the feedback SMS: Emergency Message Assigned.If reply is not received try resending the Message

3.1.11 EMSGLO Command:

This command is used to change the text message for Emergency Alert input when the input is Low. Default Messages is “AC Power ON.”

Format:

EMSGLO <Text Message>

3.1.12 AlarmON Command:

This command is used to Activate an hooter alarm for 5 minutes.

Format:ALARMON

Example:ALARMON

Reply:After the successful completion of the command the unit will

send the feedback SMS: Alarm ONIf reply is not received try resending the Message

3.1.13 ON Command:

This command puts the GSM Unit into ON mode. Note: Individual zones can be switched ON.

Format:ON ALL(or)ON <individual zones nos separated by spaces>

Example:ON ALLON 1 3 7ON 2 5 8 6

Reply:After the successful completion of the command the unit will

send the feedback SMS: Unit ONIf reply is not received try resending the Message

3.1.14 SAT Command:

This command sets activation time in seconds for the First Zone only.

Format:SAT <secs>

Example:SAT 300

3.1.15 SDT Command:

This command sets Delay time in seconds for the First Zone only.

3.1.16 OFF Command:

This command puts the GSM Unit into OFF mode. Note: Individual zones can the switched OFF.

3.1.17 GETBAL Command:

This command is used to get the available balance amount in the SIM card (for Prepaid Cards)

Format:GETBAL <query>

Example:(GETBAL *123#) for airtel/bsnl sim card(GETBAL *141#) for vodafone sim card(GETBAL *111#) for aircel sim card

Reply:After the successful completion of the command the unit will

send the feedback SMS: Actual Balance and ValidityIf reply is not received try resending the Message

3.1.18 Login Command:

This command is used to Login to the Unit for changing Mobile numbers and Password. The Logged in mobile number is sent to the other users stating that the particular user has logged in.

Format:LOGIN <password>

Default password is 1234. We can change it later using Setpass command (Refer section 3.1.18)

Example:LOGIN 1234

Reply:After the successful completion of the command the unit will

send the feedback SMS: You have Logged in (or) Wrong Password

If reply is not received try resending the Message

3.1.19 Setpass Command:

This command is used to set the new password for Logging into the system

3.1.20 Logout Command:

This command is used to Logout from the system

Format:LOGOUT

Reply:After the successful completion of the command the unit will

send the feedback SMS: You have been Logged OUT.If reply is not received try resending the Message

Note:1) After logging in, if there is no activity for 20 minutes then you

will be automatically logged out from the system. You will get a feedback SMS: No Activity. You have been Logged OUT Automatically.
