GDS Protocol
• GDS is used to communicate between a gaming machine and its peripheral devices. – coin acceptor, hopper, note acceptor, touch screen, printer, card reader.
• GDS is a fully compliant USB 2.0 interface for game peripherals (Universal Serial Bus).– 12 megabit minimum.
• HID (Human Interface Device) class devices.– Manufacturer-specific drivers are not needed – plug ‘n play.

G2S Protocol
• G2S is used for communications between an EGM and a host system.
• G2S does not require a specialized interface board in the EGM – the EGM can be connected directly to the network.
• G2S allows communications to multiple independent host systems.
